Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Richo said he was the go between Moses and Benji or so he said.
Possibly stalled an early signing. But if bula wants to stay as it has been said in the media his agent should make the moves for it to happen.
We can’t get in a bidding war imo as it sets a precedent when everyone else steps up to the table. Especially as he’s not in the elite category yet

Think weve offered more than Dogs anyway...the stalling is probably Moses trying to extract the last cent out of Gould to get close to the WTs offer

I only just jumped back on hear and the Bulla story mentioned is also in Brisbane , dogs on a 3 year deal I was told at lunch time at local bowlo , and I know but it’s on hear as well , is there any more cred to it
Not that this means much either, but there is no chatter on the Dogs Forum about Bula. I'm sure if there was a deal done, they'd be besides themselves. I don't trust his manager either so who knows.

Bula’s manager will absolutely continue to manoeuvre him to a new contract away from Tigers. That’s how he gets paid, and it’s worth around $60k plus.
Bula’s best option is to have a break out season 26 for tigers and thereby force Tigers to trigger the $900k upgrade in his contract. If he then wants to move on there’s Bears and Dogs doing the bidding.

An incoming Adam Elliott may be dependent on an outgoing Jack Bird too. Just reading the tea leaves.
I just want to ask, what would Adam Elliot offer that the current 17 doesn't have?

I see about 30 tackles a game from him. maybe an offload,

I don't see a player, with his current ability that would add much to our squad. As a depth Cheapie, maybe. Doubt we would get him as a Depth Cheapie as the Perth Bears are pretty desperate.

Looking at our pack we have:
Terrell May, Pole, Twal and Seyfarth as Props.
Bunty and Hunt as Impact props, i.e. players who may play a shorter stint for higher impact.
Samuela, KPP as Second row forwards...

Lock is the opening. If were all saying that lock is a key position, do we want a top shelf player there OR someone who'll do.

I would rather train Terrell May at lock then go cheap on the position.

FWIW, someone with close links to the Dogs mentioned to me they Bula has agreed to terms with the Dogs for 2027(3yrs)....sheeez 😒
I am indifferent if he stays & goes.

Definitely see potential in him staying but at the right price.

I do find it interesting as the dogs have one of the best young FB prospect coming through in David Bryenton.

I rate Bula , but it wa obvious this year his defence has dropped a bit whilst he now focuses on his attack. He’s great under the high ball , and generally safe . When numbers are created down the edge , it’s generally for him to go through , looking for an offload , he rarely strips numbers . That can be a positive or negative . It’s up to the individual.
I think he will be missed but I also think there’s a chance his replacement is already in the club.
Tino Tavana for example , is basically a Bula clone in ever sense of the word . Chuck in Oitman, Brookes , Lualilii , obviously Attard , and I’m sure there’s guns on the horizon both internal to the club and plying thier trade somewhere like NQ or NZ who we haven’t even heard of .

Would any player manager be doing their job by directing their players to the WTs if they had other options? How do you sell a club like ours without feeling like it is all BS.
We are our own worst enemies at a time when the market is competitive and the WTs virtually shat over any credibility that built last season.

I think some of Bula’s decision will be about Benji. He now has an extension and is seemingly safe and the players seem to be right behind him with (Bula included).
On the other hand Benji and Moses have no relationship - with Richo departed, how does this play out? Would be a big tick if Mielekamp can navigate this one.

Interesting times ahead.

One person I would like to hear from is Richo and what he thinks about the task that is required to sort out the train wreck that is the Wests Tigers and what really went on behind the scenes.

He came in all guns blazing making bold statements about how this wasn't going to be all that hard and that he'd had tougher assignments.

I think we all had our doubts and many of us thought that he was underestimating how hard the road ahead was going to be, but just hoped and prayed that with his experience and previous track record that we were finally heading in the right direction.

I wonder if we will ever really hear from him about it, but if we ever do it probably won't be any time soon as I would assume that there may be non disclosure agreements and various obligations associated with his pay out.

There is no doubt that the man can spin a pretty good yarn and I would love to hear all about it sometime.

I doubt if we ever will hear the truth because i am sure HBG would have put a confidentiality clause in his seperation payout. Those pieces of shit are beneath contempt.

Richo would have signed a non disclosure clause in his exit deal. Not sure if you will ever hear him talking Tiger talk again….sadly

IMHO, counting Seyfarth as a player is a huge mistake! He even couldn’t be considered for Antarctica’s over 90’s!

Well that’s a great start to the new year

And it's absolutely and almost as cold as this summer or should I say winter with a few warm days

No one coming to the Tigers yet and a freezing cold summer coldest of the last 5 cold summers next year I won't put away all my winter clothes

Leave the footy jerseys out to wear in summer

There's been an idiot or two from the dogs base who's suggest he'll end up at the dogs for a while now, but it's still is very unlikely that he leaves imo.

The deal was 95% done before Dennis and his Wests Ashfield cronies pulled their stunt. Ultimately I doubt that pushes him out the door, but if it does then that just further highlights to the nrl the incompetence and unprofessionalism from Wests Ashfield and will hasten their departure.

It would be a cop out to blame HBG for his loss (if it eventuates). Given how many players we have lost in similar circumstances over the years. Woods, Moses, Tedesco, Matterson, Galvin, Stefano, Papali’i. It’s a pattern with this club. We can attract quality at times, but it’s near impossible to keep them here and keep them happy. When all the stuff with Galvin was happening, I called it that Bula would be the next headache.

I hope everyone is prepared for the next 12 months, because it’s gonna get chaotic. The Mays, Fainu’s, Pole, Doueihi, Turuva and Makasini all off contract at the end of 27. We’re staring straight down the barrel of a category 5 hurricane.

HBG were in charge of the board during those losses too mate. Definitely not a cop out. Who hired Jason Taylor?

The instability of the club is exactly why Jerome has those clauses. Galvin you could argue, but I'd also suggest the damage with him was done early under pascoe.
