Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Yes, we should improve. Better roster, a combinations forming, etc.
And it's likely we do improve.
But isn't that what we say every single January ?
Oh, and yes I know that this time feels different. It does every year.
In the end, I'm sure that all of us that suffer following this club of ours hope that we improve. But let's be realistic . . . the list of failure excuses is long and varied, and has been that way long before something that happened 3 months ago.
All that being said, this year does feel different.

Cant catch a high ball,so fullback out of the question.
Poor defender,so 9 wont work
Hes either a half or five eight, but the inn is very full
Hes best to move on and restart elsewhere
Actual front on he's a very good defender. Very strong and aggressive for his size. Being caught out of position out wide and arm grabbing is his issue. In the middle his defence will look better.

He's a 14. That's it. Could play in the backs of there's a mid game injury otherwise his future is at hooker

Would not surprise if Tino Tavana becomes the NSW Cup fullback this season. He's more advanced in experience & development than Attard and the closest thing as a like-for-like to Bula the club has. I maintain high hopes for this kid!
I think Tavana replaces Laulilii or Thompson on a wing.

Doesn't have the explosive pace or ball playing for fullback. He's great in the air, a lesser man's Coates. Put him on the wing and tell Madden to kick to him.

This year does feel different. We're a young team and there is a higher ceiling for growth.

Weve got a bunch of 14s already..we need genuine 1st graders

He's signed here for 2026 only.
Without a stellar year he should be downgraded to cup level and start again OR try elsewhere.
Not personal, just want what's best for WT. He has been given plenty of opportunities.
Can't persevere forever, there are others out there vying to play NRL.

Tell us what you really think ?
Not too many 19 year olds play NRL, I wouldn’t be writing him off just yet.
I think hes a victim of coaching staff throwing him in to early. Id be suprised that there would be many very good first grade players playing NRL at his age. Problem is once you play them early they start making a fuss abt going back to lower grades to get experience. Idk Bloody kids of today. lol

Does set an ugly precedent if the NRL comes to save a guy who’s ditched 2 contracts in 2 years

Yeah, He's that guy...

But he's also the Guy that signed 'long term' to play Fullback for a certain coach, Then his club sacked the coach - He never played Fullback, Then they got another Coach who plays him on the Wing, where (Rightly or Wrongly) he's said he doesn't want to play...

So then he's coaxed to Parra on the promise of playing his preferred position of Centre,
And before he gets there - They've speared the Coach he came to play for and the Captain he wanted
to Play with
- And Again, he doesn't get to play his preferred position.

I get that he plays well on the Wing, and he should do what's best for the team
- But it is his life / career.
If he doesn't want to play there, He does have a choice.

Understanding it could be seen as somewhat different,
But how many of us are forced to do a job everyday that we didn't apply to do,
And have no interest in doing?

It sucks (For Parra) But they've had this coming for some time.
