Everyone deserves a second chance.
I hope that we don't play the family redemption card in this instance and sign him.
He will be out in December, maybe even earlier.
Unsure what the point of a day release is
Never been to jail but thoughts are would be depressing going back
That dragons match was in the balance until Benji kicked it out on the full with less than 10 mins to go. I know we had to take the good with benji, but that was such poor game management.

And we all need to move forward//particularly WTs with an aging hooker who weve heavily invested in. who is showing wear and tear signs .
and at 27.with no play in past years..may go to 35/36 ,but only if he is fit enough physically and mentally good enough

From memory - day release isn’t Parole as such. That comes after…
It’s as you said, part of the transitional program to integrate them back in society.
There’s also usually a different part of the prison they go back to - like a half way house (usually still on the grounds)
Any jobs he takes as part of the transitional release - need to be pre approved, I don’t think they’ll be football related.
Usually, they’re not allowed to be released to work with anyone they already know / knew.
It’s usually about trying to turn their lives around and releasing them into familiar environments usually isn’t the best way for that to happen.
That’s obviously a bit different in this case - but I don’t imagine the rules change depending on who you are or what you did.

If and when the Jack Bird release happens (you'd think in next 48 hours), that will leave us at 27 spots. Fair chance Bunty Afoa moves from T&T to Top 30 especially given the way he has trained in the pre-season + his experience.
