Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

His previous coaches didn’t think Lomax was up to fullback …why do you ? Weren’t they preferring Sloane over him at the Dragons?
" Lomax to Fullback would be solid , he has all the requirements , strong runner of the ball , very good in the air , pretty quick for speed , and he has power in his runs " and I'll add he kicks goals at 75%+ over the long term. He obviously doesn't want to play on the wing - maybe that's money or maybe he hates it but Bula isn't worth $1M a season in any reality.

There really couldn't be a better encapsulation of fan forums than slating the current incumbent at a position who appears to be just about to be re-signed and instead wish casting as a replacement a player who has never played the position and doesn't appear to be anywhere near the club's plans.

The fans here obviously know better than NRL premiership winning coaches thst have never picked him at the position

Dogs have David Bryenton and Raymond Puru from the Gold Coast. Both have NRL potential
Are they both nrl level talents ? Who’s saying that ? I’m talking potential to be elite . It’s not to shame them or say they’re shit , but I’m merely just saying , first can hold there own in nrl , but then develop to elite .
We have obviously Bula , but also the 2 from Saturday , Oitman even Makasini if they wanted to go balls to the wall like souths did with Lattrell.
Same thing for the dragons as well . A lot of great talent down here , but there’s no” “Tedesco” who you knew about for a couple years prior to his debut .
Which is fairly ironic because for years there were guys like Jai Field and Dufty etc. who were talked about like they were going to be . IMO that was as much a failure on the club as those players . Jai Field and Sloan especially.
There’s too much bullshit going on and conflicting interests at the dragons .

Maybe it's possible that for $1M some of us don't see Bula as value ( personally I don't see him as value at $500K) and are looking at options if he goes.

Bula’s first NRL game was at fullback and I don’t recall him playing anywhere else …Lomax has played a 100 games in other positions
It is such a big job, and Zac is a big thing, so you could swap them around during different times of the game," Flanagan told NRL.com earlier in the pre-season.

He’ll be a different style of full back. He's strong, he's powerful, he's the fittest in the club, so his involvements are going to be high.

Obviously at one stage Flannagan thought he would be a fullback and he's a premiership winning coach

“Thought” about it … but then decided to go with Sloan instead 😂

You'll see him with no 1 on his back in this video

Wish this talk about Lomax would stop, it ain't going to happen. We would have a better chance of securing Joey Manu but that would be slim too.
