Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Anyone got any updates on how Solomone Saukuru has been developing? We could do with a bit of Center depth and it seems like he has been around for a number of years now , but can’t seem to get a sniff at the big time … looks like he doesn’t even have his own thread in the contracts section 😎

Most pathways watchers were surprised he was moved back to the outside backs this season after some absolutely dominant displays in the backrow in Flegg last season. Many including myself thought that would be the making of him.

Then he plays left centre & wing in the trials and NSW Cup 1st game, playing well in all matches imo on both sides of the ball. Very strong ball runner out of yardage, has a good pass in him to set up his winger and very good in the air.

Then this week Tino Tavana who is just on a T&T makes the NRL extended squad ahead of him which can only suggest Benji either rates Tino higher or Tino was a better trainer than him in the pre-season.

I personally feel if Solo is given a chance in NRL on the wing or centre, he would excel. He has the physical attributes & ability. I just can't comment on what his attitude or effort is like in the training environment.

I think he'll get there eventually, but he plays a physical game where he might need a bit of time to mature. Tino is a bit more gifted but Solo is more a thug. I like him. Hard yards guy who likes to tackle.
Edit: He can play anywhere. Front row to ( almost ) fullback. Valuable.

know you guys are sick of Galvin,
But I called hipdrop on him last night,
But referee chose not to even Penalise him for it, but then this morning I was happy to see that they have called him out for it,

But then this afternoon the reports are he will only cop a $1000 fine at best,

And at worst a $1500 fine.

IT HIGHLIGHTS THE DIFFERENCE IN PLAYING FOR BULLFROGS,
ONLY SMALL FINE IMPOSED.

BUT FROM MEMORY FIRST OFFENCE WITH TIGERS HIP DROP,
HE COPPED 4 WEEKS OUT,
I THINK.

Gotta disagree . Lolohea, had/has more talent in his pinky than half the stars we see running around . He was just lazy , and had a poor diet , and lacked motivation . If Cleary had remained , I think he would have got through to him . I also think 21 year old Tui Lolohea in 2026 wests tigers top 30 , would have gone hard for Benji .
Like I said it’s a shame . That guy was extremely talented . Just no work ethic.
He’s one of the true wasted talents . Like Owen Craigie . He genuinely could have been the best player in the game . He just didn’t want it .
Lolohea started at half when Tonga beat Australia, and he had a great game if I recall correctly. The bro was a supreme talent with a supreme appetite, never a good combo for an athlete.

Sorry mate, but the exact fine was dished to Api for attacking the legs in trials.

The NRL does crackdowns and the punishments go crazy for a while until everyone settles into a rhythm. You must be referring to a very old punishment adjudicated against a different standard.

Wouldn't look too much into it.

Campbell Graham's frustrating run with injury has continued, with the South Sydney winger ruled out of the clash against Wests Tigers.

Graham has been left nursing a shoulder issue since last Friday's loss to the Sydney Roosters, and has not recovered in time to play on Saturday night.

Souths are hopeful the winger will return to play on Good Friday against Canterbury after next week's bye, but Moala Graham-Taufa will start in his place in Gosford.

His absence is one of two injury blows for the Rabbitohs, with Euan Aitken also set to miss the date with the Tigers while battling a cork injury that has left him unable to run.

Teddy with a blatant sin bin not awarded there.

Watch next time we hold someone down in that situation.

Tracey was leading Dally Ms before he cld injured last year..and last nite we saw exactly why
He's totally involved in every play..is there when it counts..including defence
Is smart..and he talks
Sure he has probably hit his ceiling which is pretty good btw and about half the price of bulas ceiling which with his entitled attitude propped up by moses he may never get close to
And take that poisoning manager with him to the Dogs..after all,he's done such a great job with the Eagles..and others
Bula will be half a mill more than Tracey which we cld spend elsewhere

Sure you're not thinking of Metcalf from the Warriors?
Tracey would have been lucky to have missed 3 games last year.
