Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Now that Jarome is gone the club need to move quickly to lock down both Mays, both Fainus, Makasini, Bula, Pole and Turuva ASAP. With 1.2mil in the cap cleared for 2028, it should be achievable.

Provided they can lock all of them down, Luai leaving will become a blessing in disguise.
I would be a bit more confident of that if HBG didn't have their brain fart in December and Richo was still here instead of an interim CEO on "L" plates who looks as though he is on a short leash.

Got no issues with Shaun, he comes with a great reputation of success and impressive achievements but I can't help but think that the poor guy is on a hiding to nothing having to deal with imbecilic puppet masters who no doubt are giving him very little freedom to do the things that need to be done at this crucial point in time.

The Tigers should have no issues fitting under the salary cap.

Carrigan must be a big chance of going to png, he had said prior to our game he was interested

What happened to the players being all in on Benj? Don’t tell me that was bullshit.
Pretty sure they are but the lure of the tax free dollars for guys that have a very short window of opportunity to set themselves and their families up for life can be irresistible.

Parting is such sweet sorrow, but the lure of dollars I will follow.

(apologies to William Shakespeare for butchering his wonderful words)

I never mentioned FIFA or the IOC so your comments are ridiculous. It's $600M dollars that could be better spent elsewhere rather than on a sport in a 3rd world country where corruption and violence are endemic .
From 1972 to today, Australia has provided more than A$20 billion in aid to Papua New Guinea - I guess adding another $600M will change absolutely nothing.
I think we need to put it in perspective, and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it $600 million over 10 years, that's only $60 million a year, that's only pocket change for our wasteful politicians and a mere pittance when you look at the corruption that goes on in PNG.
