There is some noise coming from England that the wonder kid in English Rugby .. Henry Pollock .. is in talks with Benji and the WestsTigers. This kid is freak .. plays breakaway .. watching him play he reminds of a Victory Radley style of player. Would be very interesting if it comes off.

Breakaway is a union specific position. Doubt he would have any benefit in league when is key point of difference is pilfering at the ruck in rugby.

Pass for me.

There have been some very good former union breakaways play league - Ben Kennedy, Ray Price. I think Cameron Murray may have also played union.

We experiment so much as a team.
Moving Reynolds to hooker, fail.
Moving AD around to almost every position on the field.
Getting that Center G? from England that did absolutely nothing at all.
Bateman -> Experiment with an aging 5/8-Lock expecting him to be as dynamic as he was at Canberra.

I am sure the Forum can suggest more.

Unless he comes dirt cheap, and he wont. I don't want another experiment.
These experiments take up a stack of cap space and we need cap space!

21 years old and being praised by Ardie Savea and many of unions biggest names. No offence to the others but this is a very different type of player in terms of talent

If true and coach is looking it’s for a reason , remember our number 1 striker ( Luai ) is leaving , Luai gives great sprays , maybe this guy is great at it but Benji seas a footy player in there as well , if cheap who knows

Not 100% sure but I think Cam Murray played centre at Newington, but breakaway is probably the one rugby forward position that has a skill set that is transferable to League.

Pollock is an interesting idea. He gives me Cam Murray vibes and he's apparently only on around £150k, so I can't imagine it would be too expensive to get him here.
Would a 2 year deal on 500k be worth the risk?
He could be our long term 13, with Twal moving to 10 and Pole onto the bench?

Two in 50 years ? And back when the game was semi professional..,

Murray played both games as a kid ..: signed to an NRL contract at 17 and been with Souths since … this Pommy would unlikely have played a game of league in his life I’m assuming ..

I doubt it … he is an international and played for the British Lions .. I have doubts he is only on 150k sterling

That fake news site on Facebook posted the Pollock to Wests Tigers story yesterday so that's where it has probably come from. So no truth in it.

It is a disgusting site that I'm surprised Meta hasn't deleted (has deaths & injuries on it that aren't true). It's called Striped Roar Crew or something like that.

Just beware as it'll probably end up in your Facebook feed if you read lots of Wests Tigers content due to algorithms.
