The resignings show how happy the boys are to be here imo. Added to that we have signed the boys who are important and proper 1st graders. now we just need to fill out the squad with real solid first or finrge first graders and we are on the way.

I'm genuinely optimistic for the future, not the usual wishful thinking.

I know it's probably a stretch to fit him under our cap considering all the extensions but if there was money for Paul Alamoti I would go hard for him, powerful gun centre.

Would think that we'd have to rid ourselves of Toa's contract first.

I don't think i can ever recall a time when a half decent first grader has ever extended with us without "testing the market" this is testament to the culture that Benji has built at the club and whilst i have always been critical of them i have to say that it seems HBG are heading in the right direction in both the financial support of the team and staying out of the headlines. Perhaps PVL and liquor and gaming have put the fear of God in them and they have pulled their heads in.

It's so weird isn't it. We're so used to players taking it all the way to November 1. All the news outlets linking them to all the bigger clubs and eventually choosing one of them the moment they get good.
