Cant be worse mate they havent even had their first spoon yet.Worse, for their fans it must feel like a life sentence, even bigger hole to climb out of.
We’ve got plenty of depth . The people who were given opportunities shit the bed . Do they have the potential … yes! Many like Sukkar are absolutely dominating the lower levels , which says to me they’re not getting thier mental right when they step up , rather than a talent issue . The issue is the sheer volume and top heavy injuries we are going through . It’s not like the broncos so it’s Walsh , bench hooker 1st drop hooker , 2nd drop hooker , bench edge and bench forward , and starting prop.Been reading across the forum some takes on our depth, it wasn't that long ago in the trials it was on display as a collective against the riff and roosters, it showed to be more than adequate because it was depth vs depth.
As shown across the NRL by results some being floggings, when you have multiple injuries, it is too difficult to cover all the loss of quality, 1 or 2 and teams seem to be able to cover but anymore they struggle.
Your depth would need to have the same quality for the next man up, but the salary cap doesn't allow that, or those players would leave because they don't want to hang around in reserve grade.
Key word, yet.Cant be worse mate they havent even had their first spoon yet.
Atkinson is Koe level period.Key word, yet.

Got good young forwards but that spine is overrated imo. Liddle best player there
I think it’s a collective issue - confidence . Too many guys are coming up and looking to others to do the job , having replaced guys like Api and Samuela who were the guys to do certain jobs . Eg. Samuela applies pressure on just about every kick , gets down field quick and leads the transition energy . When guys like Sukkar come up , they’re not doing that looking for others to do it …. It they’re literally I only there because that guy has gone down injured.Over last two games it is the basic's we have got wrong regardless of standard of player,Line defense, kicking in general, draw and pass, tackling, these are skills that the coaching staff should ram down the players throats.
True, wish I could time travel and bring back 5 years of results, just get the feeling they are headed for some painful years.Cant be worse mate they havent even had their first spoon yet.
I think you are being harsh. We had Laurie, Brooks and Liddle at one stage - that was without the forwards the dragons haveKey word, yet.

Kenty's head has collided with a few too many telegraph poles and footpaths, he's just being a Kent.OR
It could be a club being pro-active in a market not ever being experienced before.
(ask Parra fans how they feel about their relaxed recruitment methods)
I'm not decided one way or the other, But if every club is holding tight the way they usually do in regards to urgency around re-signings, They might be the ones in for a shock.
I find it odd,
The Media are usually on us about not locking up our future early enough,
Now they're on us for locking them up early...
WT's can't win.
Moreso almost bankhanded complementing insinuating it's Luais' money only getting them done.Other than Kent, and maybe a few murmurings or a throw away line here and there I have not seen any negativity about these signings in the media...in fact they have mostly been positive reports. I'm sure they have found out what we have paid and if it was overs the word would be out there and repeated often.

Do they shit the bed or haven't been developed adequately,We’ve got plenty of depth . The people who were given opportunities shit the bed . Do they have the potential … yes! It’s literally starting fullback , starting winger , starting prop , starting halfback , starting edge , starting hooker .
As the players drip back into the team watch the depth players emerge and have stronger performances . The issue is 6-7 of them have come up together , so the nrl team is basically field 50% cups starting lineup . It’s really hard to win under those circumstances.
In saying that , Ethan Roberts is a gun C and I think he will surprise most by doing a very good job in place of Samuela.
Also people need to know that Heyward isn’t debuting because the club , his family and management , and himself believe he needs to progress slowly , so this is a bit of an issue .
Lanyon when he gets the shit out of his game , will be next to debut , and he’s a gun 9/13. People will fall in love with him quick . He’s doing a great job in a resurgent KOE team .
Wel considering what we had to pay for Luai who imo hasnt played a game where he has shown his worth any where near 1.2 plus. Comes with being a bottom club.Metcalf to dragons. 3 year deal @ $900k/yr. He’s good but geez $900k
The smugness here has made me nauseousNah, RF. I bring them up far, far, far, far less than many on here.
Far less.
Edit: Oh the glorious, dripping irony of the previous post that appeared while I'm typing.
Well if they resign Pole on a normal contract that's exactly what you want. You need players like him to be competitive and his best years are ahead of him.The Tigers will turn their attention to securing teammates Samuela Fainu and Latu Fainu who are the only high profile players now without deals beyond next season.
Hopefully this motivates Fonua Pole to start living up to his potential. Not even regarded by the journos!
Koloamatangi will be there also. They won't be that bad next year.Key word, yet.

I can only say what i have seen, but the Penrith system they drill the basic into from First grade all the way down the line, so there is one standard across all grades, This what the Tigers need to do, and we don't but we have improved.I think it’s a collective issue - confidence . Or Api with his line speed . Hope simply isn’t doing it enough ,and consistently . Everyone is talking about api out of dummy half , but that’s not the issue . You can’t replace that . So why even try . But the line speed is pure effort . Hope needs to be better .
Like I said they’re looking around for others to do it . But the only reason they even have an opportunity is because that bloke is sitting in the grandstands .
As harsh as it is . The message has to clear to these guys . Do your job or I’ll find someone who will . No excuses . And I genuinely think with the amount of turnover , like guys like Sukkar and Bunty , even Skelton , that’s exactly what’s happened.
With a Millon dollar player you expected certain playing standards on the field.Luai may not have been playing at the same level he did in the 4x premiership winning Panthers team (which makes sense given the players he had around him).... but it blows my mind how ungrateful fans are as to what he has done for this club.... short memories..
