Watson is good for depth and I like his energy, but he is such a hog and I wonder how he will gel with our style.

5. Heamasi Makasini

Depth:
Starford Toa (centre)
Tino Tavana (wing)
Patrick Herbert (centre)
Jack Attard (fullback / utility ?)

Strengthening this area is a priority, imo.
The off contract list quality is quite ordinary.

Jake Averillo is the pick of the bunch.
Great utility value too.

What do you think about Latrell Siegwalt from Souths?
He would be cheap, is skillful and can kick goals. Has done a good job in place of Mitchell.
Not sure about his current contract though.

Not a bad goal kicker and looks a very instinctive player, but I think we need better than him tj help our strength in the centres.
We need someone who is better than average NRL quality ASAP.
I don’t think any better than average NRL centres will be available as an early release for us this season, but we really need to recruit to help strengthen us straight away.

Well if he’s baulking at 300 in Brisbane, I think your maths is out. Reckon it will have to be at least 350-450 for him to think about it. But centre is a real weak spot for us.

I don’t think he’s worth more than 250 and don’t want us to sign him, he’s not that good of a player, toa is better imo

I would do anything to get Paul Alamoti here. Just the type of centre we need, imo.

If Seigwalt was available I’d take him too. Shown more in his 2 games with Souths than Toa has in his lifetime!

I'll say one thing, although Shibasaki hasn't been the greatest this season, at least when he arm grabs he uses both arms. 🤣 🤣 🤣

From what I've seen, he's alright.

Not quite the right player for us, imo.
There's a real lack of quality available.

I'm hoping we can land a contracted player with an early release.

Ideally Michael Gabrael @ The sharks and maybe Ali Leiataua from NZ.
