Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don’t think defensively he is what we need, not overly big and reminds me of another To’a type player.
So I am hoping we don’t sign him
a faster version of toa, not impressed
we need better
knock on penriths door for tago
injury prone but what about billy smith contracted until end of 27

TBF to the club the media seem to say a higher salary then what we actually sign them for. We have been pretty good for not overpaying players for the last 18 months or so. We are a club where players seem to want to be which is a massive upgrade from the past.

Saukuru is currently a fair way ahead of both Tavana and Makasini. He's stronger and faster than both. Defence is a wyesy mark for all. He's much more powerful than all our other young backs.
Yes makasini had a high ceiling but so far he hasn't proven much in any competitive fixtures. He's been rushed in before he's ready. He is exclusively a winger at this stage in his development and is paying the price for our weak squad.

Reading the report I see The name Kade Dykes playing for the Dogs. Seem to remember we had a real shot at trying to get him when he left the Sharks. He must have been over the moon when Gus signed Galvin knowing Woods will be the no7 and Galvin the six moving forward.
I thought the same thing, How’s he been going in reggies? I wonder what he thinks of the sitch now after Galvout has been so shite, and still he’s no chance of getting a game over Galvout.

Has played more the 20 nrl games every year for the last 5 yrs and played 7 this yr before injuring his hand

Yeah and hardly set the world on fire, after that many games he should be doing better then he is, he's in his prime. His form suggests hes just another average player, nothing special.

Also, he's behind Vostock and Farnworth for a reason. Hopefully it isn't form and something else, he might come good

Farnworth might make a world 13 and Bostock has been exceptional since his debut. No concern about picking up a solid first grader stuck behind that pair.

Lol me too, but Nofo did it his whole career!
I think they do enough to hold their own in the lower grades. You get found out quick smart in first grade playing against men. Credit to To’a though. He’s copped it deluxe this year, and rightfully so. His defensive effort for the Magpies a few weeks ago was diabolical. However he made a tackle on the weekend that a lot of other players would have missed, which was a major factor as to why we held on. And it’s probably warranted him getting picked today due to Makasini’s injury.
