I am a little surprised that the Dragons can sign who they have been signing.
That said:
Drinkwater is a defensive liability.
Metcalfe is a decent half, but not a gun half. Still would rather drop Metcalfe into our side then Avelero

Watson is a good utility. I guess he is at the backend of his career. Wouldn't have done badly here but not a huge loss either.

Looks like a change in the Dragons recruitment strategy (maybe out of necessity). No more 1M offers to very good players, more going for middle.

The Dragons are a stronger team than many realise. They have a top 8 pack. It’s their spine that’s kept them where they are. With a new look spine next year, and Koalamatangi, they are top 8 contenders.

The Couchman twins in particular are impressive, I don’t think they’ll be at the bottom for much longer. They’ll most likely get the spoon this year but I see them being a decent side for years to come

Averillo will be a good get, I couldn't believe the Dogs let him go to the Dolphins. Him and JAC were the only players in that team with a bit of toe.

Either that or they are just going through the cooling off period …I would find it unlikely the Lolphins will let him go mid season…happy to be wrong

I would think Luai's replacement is Latu vs Javon Andrews who are both already at the club. Averillo fills the huge deficiency we have at right centre and back up fullback
