Seems like the Tigers have a bit of common sense after all mate …unlike a few here who couldn’t see tany potential downside signing him for very limited upside …

Hold on though - we bought Turuva, the Mays, Fainus, Jarome, Makasini, Hunt, Madden all in the last couple of years - there's more than that if you count young blood like Roberts and Andrews.

Turuva, Skelton, Luai, Hunt, Terrell and Taylan May's first season with us was just last year in 2025 and we are half way through this one - I really don't understand the gripe. These are brand new NRL quality signings - 6 of them in the last 18 months.

There is a couple of old sayings that come to mind … painting the harbour bridge is never finished, and “what have you done for me lately”?

Yes …that’s proven to be a good start…however looking at the results of late …plenty of work still to be done …wouldn’t you agree ?

Mate I think you're smart enough to know that you cant sign 5 or 6 NRL players by clicking your fingers. We did a stellar job last year bringing in who we did.

You have 19 teams going for the best ones and a salary cap that is largely spoken for unless you make some room. Even PNG with tax free bucks or Perth with a totally open cap aren't announcing anyone right now.

I believe we have started to make some room by tapping a few low output players on the shoulder.

I also don't see too many other teams recruiting right at this moment in the season - probably because they have filled their cap. It doesn't really happen at this stage of the season for the majority of clubs anyway.

The next opportunity will be towards the end of the year and when our deadwood can find another club. No other club, other than St George has announced anyone...heck we are supposedly signing Averillo. It all goes on in the background until there is something to report. We sign new guys every year. It will happen.

If you sit back a bit, you'll see there are some practical reasons why we haven't announced any signings. That time will come later in the year. What if you're banging on about this, but what you want is actually happening? Or is Gallant and Benji just sitting on their arse all day?...doubt that highly
 
Injury has decimated the season but the squad is strong pending some additions

1. Bula / Averillo
2. Turuva/ Tavana
3. Taylan May/ Makasini
4. Averillo
5. Makasini
6. Luai / Andrews
7. Douihei / Madden
8. May
9. Api / Haywood
10. Pole / Sione Fainu
11. Sam Fainu
12. KPP
13. Twal / Latu Fainu

I am assuming Hunt, Seyfarth, Toa are moving on however, the above are the only players I would consider for the top grade.

Clear needs centre/winger, prop x 2, second row x 2, hooker. We need 6 quality players to fill the roster for next season.

I’d be targeting a starting prop Pole is better for impact off the bench with Sione Fainu.

They signed KPP around this time last year …and a few back of the squad players later towards the offseason like Bunty Geyer and Ethan Robert’s … as you said .it’s highly competitive … there are no guarantees the squad will be much improved for 2027

That went well.

I know that automatically doesnt infer Folau will end up the same....but with this club it just seems so short-sighted///like the Mav geyer signing, just a waste of time and doesnt progress us at all imo

Boggles my mind Ink how other teams can have players come in and do a job when injuries hit, the players dont look special, but they can get the job done. When we have to do the same thing the guts we bring in are lightyears behind depth standard, let alone N.R.L standard.
