The way that club produces quality players is amazing. Their average players are produced into competent first graders. That is where we need to be.

No NRL club has got a record as good as our with releasing/not resigning players.

Very, very few have come back to bite us or improved much once leaving us.
In 10 years the only guy to make big improvement after leaving is Jeremy Marshall King (eventually)
We haven't been burnt by anyone.

Some juniors without first grade experience, yes, but that is the same with every club.

are just a few I can think of in the bat of an eyelid that would improve our team not just then, but even still now

I'd be looking at Jacob Preston, J'maine Hopgood, Ryan and Toby Couchman

All are off contract at the end of 2027

TeMaire, Tatola, Paseka, Stone never played first grade. All juniors.
Kautoga played one game here, was bog average and he is still bog average.
McIntyre had a crap stint with the Titans after us and is a fringe first grader bordering on bog average
Addo Carr played here more than 10 years ago

As I stated, we haven't lost anyone in the last 10 years that have improved significantly when they left us, except for some juniors but every team loses gun juniors to other teams.

At the time was anyone screaming from the roof about losing these guys (except maybe addo Carr who didn’t wait to see our offer because the CEO was away and Melb was attractive)

Plenty come and go prior to realising their own ceiling and it’s just not the club wanting them it’s the player wanting to stay rather than go to greener pastures.

Could we have done better maybe.

Ever heard of Josh Addo Carr? Tedesco? Moses? Papenhuyzen?
LOL what a blinkered and incorrect view. Funny how you set a 10 year parameter as well. There’s heaps of guys still playing good footy at other clubs who once worked for us.
We are actually one of the worst and a well known punchline for these stuff ups amongst the RL community.

I saw Isaako get injured on the last play….. do you know the injury ? Could be a couple of big outs there …suspect they will still be heavy favourites 😂

So, let me get this straight…
- going on to have long first grade careers, playing finals - winning grand finals at other clubs isn’t
‘improving since they left us’?
Sweet - let’s run with that.

Didn’t mention we lost Terrell to the chooks the first time out, sure - we can blame that on covid though
- still, he was here and we didn’t see enough in him to keep him around.

We didn’t lose some gun juniors
- we lost all of them.
Some after we botched their development.

I’m not here to argue with you because you’ve got nothing better to do
- there’s nothing you can say that justifies our trajectory for the last 15 years.
Maybe some of us have paid a little more attention than you might have - we’ll just put it down to that.
