Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Yep, I really can’t understand it.

The bloke must be close to minimum wage, so we really have freed up 3/4 of stuff all in terms of salary. We are also already short on outside backs this season and now we have 1 less. We bring in Tupou on a T&T deal but we didn’t need to release LL to do that.

You can argue that we are using the money to top up other players but that’s all we ever do, top up players in an average squad. It suggests to me we have given up on this year once again while still in contention.

I’m sure we’ve helped out another club and a player though and we should all feel warm and fuzzy about that.
Every chance Luke was desperate to play over there and Benji wasn’t going to stand in his way, I’m not sure it’s that deep

If our KOE backline in 2027 reads:

1. Attard
2. Tavana
3. Tupou
4. Herbert
5. Saukuru
6. Andrews
7. Fainu

.... I'd call that depth. Every one of those guys is able to step in as required.
Lol that’s absolutely terrible. 3 haven’t even debuted, one has played 4 games in 2 seasons. Another has looked suspect at best, even if he is a rookie. And the 7 seems to have the makings of a career bench player at best under Marshall. Yeah, that’s depth alright.

Been a problem for 10years.
i don't think speed has been our problem.

GRIT has been our problem.

Tackles that really seem to be "hey are you ok" and not "crunch".
People walking right through our defenders.

Bula isn't our fastest, nor our slowest. Nofo and Tupou did not tackle, but they were quick (Nofo in the early days, sure. Later agreed not so much).

Now, we need Turuva and Bula training more for speed. Boy we could use a Chris Lawrence in the middle.

Seen a report on the TV yesterday, not that hard to get a peptide for just about anything these days, wonder what health problems that will create into the future.
Good question Stevo...Peptides are effectively amino acid chains that support existing processes in the body, ie wound healing, cell energy, synapse/ brain function, HGH release ect.. Theres even one for ED if youve had too many shots of tequila or are depressed thinking of Tigers v Knights result this past weekend.... Amazing science. Yet to be proven across all fronts, but next to steroids the "side effects" ( if any ) are proving manageable.

I don't know Tony, don't think I would trust anything these days that's a quick fix, you can't be certain it won't come back to bite down the track.

Yeah I understand where you are coming from, peptides are becoming a thing now. Will never replace hard work, good diet, commitment to fitness. Great responses from studies in the US on Retatrutide over 12 months for weight loss effects and also Semax - focus, concentration, ADHD ect.
We need to develop a peptide for blood pressure and anxiety as a Members pack in 2027 😆 😉

I think we signed Dunster while injured , but close to a return.
Flippers only just got here so next week I would say .
Josh Sch , he would be weeks and weeks away no footy at all for a year , just weight loss , seen him in James Graham pod he looked lean but no muscle , so gym and contact will be slow process he may if all goes good get a run off the bench in reserves or something last couple games but that is a big if , Benji may just watch him progress then take him on our army camp and test him right out , probably get a small contract for 27 if pans out with club option 28 , I would go club option just in case he does prove to have come back , could be a great player in reserves and back up nrl , the kid does have talent

I agree.

We have been told "drugs are... Bad M'key" for decades.

I am very cautious. I definately know people where drugs (both medical and recreational) have seriously messed up their life. I also know others where the right drugs have helped them function.

Recently it was revealed that the German Army was high on Stimulants. This was one reason why they got an advantage over the French. Not that I am going to war anytime soon, but that's one usecase.

I am very reluctant to trust the US Pharmacuticals. Like how the Harm of Tobacco smoke was buried in the 40's, I could definately see harms buried now.

All said, Happy for people to use if that's what they need to life a good life without harming others.

NSW cup team no dumpster , why do we sign players but. Ever play them , take it back if injured , but club tells us bugger all
The team has been going well, do you really think an outsider coming back from an ACL would just walk straight into the side?

Both he and Schuster would likely start in Ron Massey to work on Match fitness and then when fitness and form is proven they can compete for NSW cup spots.

Tupou would be a mile ahead of him too

I don't know why anyone would be upset about Luke leaving. He will always be a massive liability in first grade. He's just too small.
That's not too say he doesn't have other positive traits, but he will always be targeted in defence.
Maybe in a few years time he'll have filled out more but his height alone will always make him a target, even if he's playing fullback.
