My point is we went from 4 wins to 6 wins to 9 wins and we were on track for the finals when he announced he was leaving. Improvement was happening (slowly).

I’m not devastated as long as we realise we need to replace those things he actually brought.

This is so true. Players like Bula and Luai would give any other team $500-700k value, but for us, their output is equivalent to that of a $200k player.

While Luai has been poor since the beginning, others like May and Turuva looked like world-beaters when they arrived and then declined significantly.

Time will tell whether Luai continues his descent at the Eels, or regains his form after leaving the Tigers like Papalli'i or Blair.

We’re both just stating opinions based on speculation. Facts show we were going backwards fast before Richo and Luai arrived. Briefly improved then started to nosedive again when they left. PNG saw that, Parra obviously see something in him for a year. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

No mate. Yours is opinion.

Luai arrived with a bunch of others. I stated quotes from those players. Particularly Taylan who said he wanted to play with his brother. They never said they came because of Luai.

If you're hanging your hat on 9 wins last year and a 13th place, well I can't change your standards if you think that's acceptable.

They dropped off after signing big fat extension.....

We’d all love to be further along.

Our last game prior to Luai we lost 26-60 to yesterday’s opponents in a wooden spoon showdown.

My original point has been lost, which was simply that we’ll keep going backwards if we don’t think we need to replace what he brought us.
