Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

All of that is fair. But people need to calm down thinking we’re getting kicked out, or relocated because we are perennial losers. That’s emotion talking and not how things work. We aren’t a rich club, but we aren’t broke either. There’s no logical reason to believe that we on the verge of being kicked out. If we were going to, cracking the 8 wouldn’t save us.
Sadly I wish I had your optimism, the pessimist in me sees the NRL giving us enough rope now and then they can wipe their hands. This club has done nothing in close to 20 years to justify anything but a flush down the shitter.

Based on what? Tell me something that isn’t fueled by emotion and conspiracy.

Inserting the word fact after a sentence doesn’t actually make that sentence factual.

I get the frustration and disappointment, but that’s no chance.
Sadly I wish I was as optimistic as you if they continue on the same path I see the club being "replaced" by 2030. I really hope i am wrong and Benji can turn it around but he will be the last straw sadly.

Oh yeah I don't think that is a realistic possibility, although we will probably just continue down this path until the NRL steps in and does something to trigger significant change. I don't think this is a minor problem like changing a few board members, new coach, new squad etc

I think that to properly achieve long-term success, the entire club strategy needs to be reviewed from top to bottom. I also do not think it is a one-man job, the CEO can do what he can, but lets be real, there is only 24 hours in a day and when you are constantly patching issues, you are not going to be able to properly address the underlying concerns.

An entire team needs to be built to review our entire club, and not just some end of season bs football review

So what are you saying, either the club gets sold to a private owner or it loses your support?
I could be wrong, but I don’t think the people making decisions are the same as they were 18 months ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago or 15 years ago.
As far as I am aware, the notorious Danny is the only one who possibly goes back that far and as far as I am aware he is generally not very involved in Wests Tigers decision making.
Everyone knows Benji has been given full control of all Wests Tigers related matters over the past couple of years, so if we are signing or re-signing the wrong players, selecting the wrong players in our NRL team etc, that is all on Benji, nobody else.
Some people like to blame whoever employed or extended Benji’s contract and I agree the decision to extend Benji’s contract is not looking like a very good decision at this point of time, but I recall it was roughly a 50/50 split on Wests Tigers supporters who agreed with the decision or did not agree with the decision when it was made.
You could say up ubtil Benji’s trusted lieutenant Jarome decided to up and leave, the playing roster was extremely united, the onfield performances were good and there was no criticism of Benji being in full control for an an extended timeframe at that time.
That’s why they should of kept the status quo last December.

How can they just ask for help. They make the 8 every year and need to find a way to make it work. You can't just ask for help. We need all the help we can get.
Maybe if they played home semis at a decent size stadium instead of Shit Park they might make some decent money from the gate takings.

Even campbelltown and Leichhardt are bigger than shark (midget) park capacity roughly 12,500, the financial income the sharks lose when opposition teams fans are turned away cause the ground is too small, last 10 years sharks have won a grand final, play finals every year and financially struggling what does that tell you ??? And I'm no Elon Musk lol

If the NRL was to decide it needed to shed a licence or two, for a myriad of possible reasons. A basket case club that produces the worst product in the NRL, that also invests the least in its product, Located in a multi team city, is a prime candidate to not have their NRL licence renewed. Im not saying thats what's planned. But Wests Tigers are far from safe.

You’re taking a giant leap in entertaining the idea they would ever decide they need to shed a licence. And I thought the conversation about the club needing to move away from playing games at Cambo was a waste of time.
