Too hard apparently

So many good, smart young coaches running around - Wolfe, Fitzgibbon, Holbrook, Payten & Webster to name a few and we end up with the clueless Marshall…oh but he loves the club and all the boys love him. Can’t play footy to save their lives, but as long as they all love each other and are having fun, it’s ok 🙄

try to improve the short term results of the NRL team and the pathways at the same time …I think you need to bring in players coaches and some other staff from outside the club… not rely on young players years away from NRL competence …we have tried that ..a few times

The pathways are important ..but it can’t be the only “focus” whilst they lose week after week…Im getting the vibes the fans have had enough this time and the only thing that’s going to change it is better results on the field…. The fans might not be around when( if) the pathways come good if they are going to be this poor for the next few years

They will need to make more changes for next year or it will be lost …Benji needs a shake up in the assistant coaches .. they need better single game planning and improved season strategies around things like fitness and player welfare … they have got that wrong this year .. and they look gassed now … yeah I get it … injuries … sometimes you gotta find a way to overcome .. at least some of the time

bring in some new players .. even if they are cheap guys like Brailey .. they need to get some new faces in there

Fans won’t stick solid for ever … not these days anyway … the club really needs to turn in around .. even to just a team that wins half their games … is that too much to ask ?its a pretty low bar really but one that we need to see happen pretty quick

The only positive thing to happen this season is Lauri’s departure at season’s end. Imagine having him taking 1.2 mil a season and delivering rubbish for another three years.

The biggest problem with this team is that they are just so frustratingly, hugely dumb.
We have the biggest bunch of numbskull, boneheads ever assembled in the one team.
They have no football intelligence or general intelligence. When I watch them in the social media videos the club puts out the cringe factor is through the roof.
I don't know how they can fix that.

Shaun saying he is focusing on pathways now is ridiculous, if he can’t see our first grade and reserve grade need help first , kids won’t stay at clubs where the top teams are shit , we need to fix our firsts and reserves up now then get to work on pathways , our roster in firsts is not 100% it’s probably about 60% it needs work , Alverillo and Brailey are ok I have no issue with them as they both can play firsts or reserves , but we need to buy at least 3 good nrl players NOW for 2027 , injuries did hurt us because we had no back up , our reserve grade team is rubbish , time to push a few out the door and go buy some talent , just watching that game yesterday was poor , we put bombs up from 35 mtr out straight to the opposition and they just catch it , no one around from our side , rinse and repeat , just kids stuff
Our attack was poor bar 10 minutes - new attack coach needed
Our defence was very average again - new defence coach ,
The club needs to get this done now along with a small clean out and also inform Benji that 2027 is his last chance to improve us into the top 10 , 8 is a stretch but 10 needs to be min spot or see ya we will pay you out , or offer him a walk now take 1 year wages and move on , HBG needs to start looking at Wests Tigers like it’s there own team cause at present it looks like they only put work into the second grade side and Wests Tigers don’t exist ,

Thats my point mate, we can fix the pathways and have the best pathways in the world. If first grade is a constant mess theyre not going to hang around. We need something monumental to happen to change to fix it. The worry is if you do make the change, whats to say someone doesnt get involved ftom board level to grenade it. It cant just be new assistants, that wont do it. We need something major, imo what id do is either throw the chequebook at Ivan Cleary or Daniel Anderson to get them in as football manager. Give them total control of the first grade N.R.L programme. Reign Benji in tell him sorry your way hasnt worked we are giving control to the new guy. If hes not happy he can walk away from his 4 year deal. Otherwise he can continue under the new guy. Whoever we bring in has to have experience. Id take that snake Gould atm.

Yeah, we have really neglected our development. Its a perfect picture of the macarthur region. I wonder if committing more to the macarthur region just naturally bleeds down into junior development by being more active in the bigger catchment.

Been supporting Benji for years now.
Not sure Benji's selections (bench in particular), player management or coaching needs our continued support.
Coaching is results based.
No results is a reflection of something is not working.
Something needs to be changed.

Yesterday when we ran hard we bent them and split them wide open, but it was so far in between it was diabolical.

💯 Bellend, this should be drilled into the players at training. Our games are so hard to watch.
A good mate of mine is an Olympic coach, freelance. His way of coaching is if the person he is coaching makes a mistake in training, then he stops them immediately and repeats the drill until they get it right, that’s how you get improvement and consistency in technique he reckons, and he’s had a lot of success.. It’s not rocket science here.
I’m sick and tired of watching players in our team making the same schoolboy errors each week.Why can’t Terrell May be coached to run hard at the line; none of this propping, stopping and turning. The list goes on and on , and it’s not just Terrell.
We need a total clean out of all coaching staff and start from scratch, it’s no use dishing the same rubbish each week, the elementary skills that are lacking at present are obvious to most of us on this forum.The club won’t have many fans left next year if nothing changes, fast!!

Dunno what they do for Magpies team either , they are lucky to get a couple of hundred ppl at Lidcombe , there is more than that on their magpies supporters forum who hate the Tigers 😂

They should be able to focus on both ends at the same time…I suppose that would cost more though.

The fact they can’t do it at both ends shows the lack of experience they have in the roles at the moment.Richo and Benji were capable short term…the moment Richo left,we have had Shannon Gallant (no prior experience recruitment manager),Benji and Shaun trying to sort this out.

Macarthur pathways Brad Speechly running the show and Balmain is Bronson…no disrespect but why have these guys been hired?what are their credentials?

I’m a little skeptical that any proposed solution with the phrase “throw the chequebook “ is going to be an option in reality

Gould hasn’t been a good operator in years. He gets credited for turning around the Panthers but it is Matt Cameron behind Penriths success
