Apparently storm signed Adam Pompey
They didn't get to two prelims on luck or being sub par - and got knocked out only just in both seasons.
- Farah Payten Heighnington Fulton Fifita Ellis BMM Gibbs Dwyer Flannagan Galloway Woods coming through. - how is that not considered a good pack?
The backs were serviceable without being superstars Lui/Marshall combo worked and Lote brought a bit of X factor.

Why do you have Douehi as first grade 7? He is quite simply not a halfback and, after his late season shenanigans, does not deserve to be considered for NRL. Jock should be there, with Latu, as the halves. Also, I know we're talking about squads but, no way, does Makasini make the top 17 either.

They were also there, Missing finals when there was more chance of making them than not with 15 teams.
Being half decent in 2010/2011 doesn't excuse them for all the other failed years.
You said that squad was sub par - I would argue they were not - they played great footy and faltered in two prelims. No sub par team makes a prelim/ semi two years in a row without deserving to be there.
In 2012 they began the rebuild that has never ended and turned over a lot of that squad and we know the results since then.

But I’m 10/11 we had lui who really unlocked Benji and the side, we needed a proper halfback all those years they missed out
06 (as premiers) 07, 08, 09, 12
With basically the same Core group of players.
Hang your hat on 2 good years in 20 if you like,
But there's a lot of the rot now started in that boys club back then.
Said it a million times, Lui was a 5/8.
He worked with Benji because he was a far better half than John Morris and Farah.
Without Gareth Ellis, that team would have been also rans.
Had very little to do with Rob Lui.

Could not agree less with this statement.
Lui was a 7 and a good one at that.
Could not care less weather you agree.
He's remembered by most here very different to how he actually was,
Much like Dwyer.

Lui was basically a career 5/8, Who played 7 for us for obvious reasons.
He won 5/8 of the year - for us
- TWICE!!
Went to a shite comp in the UK and barely played 7 over there.
The only people on the planet who claim he was a 7,

Go back and watch the games - IF there was a 7,

I'm not hanging my hat on anything. Just pointing out that in 2010/ 11 they were better side than sub par as you described.
Perhaps you should stop hanging the failure of the club on the back of the players that are the only ones that have achieved some level of success in the role that they were contracted to - considering the amount of people since and the time they have had to improve things on and off the field, and have achieved squat.
