Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Anyone hearing the club is delaying the departure list due to negotiations about lay down Douhei being moved on?

I doubt that

Heard this week manly are prepared to pay 450k of brooks 650k salary for 2027,
no news if any clubs have shown any interest however.
From player perspective apparently he is keen to stay in sydney

That just doesn't sound right. I can't imagine many clubs with an open spot not signing him at $200k.

Could Schuster play lock ?

His ball playings his strength. Though i dont think hes tough enough for lock

The rumour I heard through my old man who is a Broncos supporter that Madge was showing some interest in Seyfarth

Madge gave him his debut in 2020 didnt he? if he did debut him it might have legs.

Lifted my spirits as I read it, with a "so you're telling me there's a chance" attitude.

who in sydney though as that is where he wants to play apparently.
Sticking point would be 2028 when manly are not tipping in anything, apparently he wants a deal for 2028 too

How many hookers do you want?

It’s not for next year it’s for 28, and by then I think api will be too old

I think he has lost too much weight for a ball playing lock ATM.
Would need to change what he wants to what Benji wants.

St George Illawarra intend to make a play for Blues and Australia outside back Jack Bostock if the Kangaroos debutant becomes a free agent on November 1.

But he will still be contracted. As will Brailey and Haywood.

It would be great for Bostock and Colquhoun to return to the Illawarra. I don't know how the Dragons let them go.

Yes, but recall he was one of 3 players (names I forget) that were told he could look elsewhere if he wanted to. I think his late season form has probably made WT want to keep him but maybe the seed was set for Seyfarth to explore options.

Edit- the silence from the club can only mean there are machinations within the existing roster and those leaving. Like so much, its $$$$

There would be quite a few players out the door before Seyfarth. He is a competitor and has that fire that many of his teammates lack.

He did well at Manly but at the back end of his career returning from a serious injury, he is best to stay at the Eagles.

Coaching staff seem to love him too

Brooks at 200g would be a great buy for a club in need of some 6 coverage or even back up no nine, but we all well covered at present in those areas. Souths to me look like a Sydney club that may be interested or even Penrith

Hed want a 2 or ideally 3 yr deal....penrith cld use him rite now

Who knows . Wasn’t that an issue at manly? He’s pretty skinny now FYI.
