If we hear this again, then I reckon be worried. Have them fit, have them strong, have them fast, but it doesn't have to be harder than all other preseasons.

I'd prefer they use the time that they waste on some running drill to make them throw up, to actually learn to play football properly, because that's the difference between the teams who go deep in finals, and the teams that lose games.

What you've pointed out has been raised on here a few times and when you look back at last season could explain a few things.

We came out of the blocks with high fitness and smashed teams but then the injuries hit and the season fell to bits, was the training too intense over last summer and caused body fatigue leading to injuries or was it just bad luck.

The end of season review you would hope has looked at this and if the conclusion pointed to the off-season preparation being a possible factor, then changes should be made for this summer

There are some things about it that are head scratchers. Why is he sitting on top of a train in a balaclava. Why is there a chopper hovering and a spotlight circling. Does give off gangsta vibes. And considering there is only one dude in the clip, maybe that’s a sign that it’s just Sam.

Except you’re talking about the version of him that was 6 or 7 years younger and had not been in locked up all of that time.

Sure, Manase is unlikely to achieve his previously expected very high playing ceiling, though his footy skills are innate and he is only 28, which is pretty well the prime of male physicality.

Three or four months of further training with his brothers should have him more than ready to play at above A grade level, and whether he can get back to a regular first grade level probably depends on his application more than anything else.
