Honestly the more i look at our pack the mors im ok with how it is. Id prefer moving ET to the edge and putting Aloia at lock though. Be a strong pack then.

Agree. I think that with the new look pack, ET will thrive. Let's not forget that he has good ball skills and it is only under the current circumstance with our pack going backwards that he has been required to do 50 odd tackles per game. Love to see him on the same side as Reynolds, Milne, and Rona.

I would also love to see Aloia play lock, ET in the second row and on the edge, Marsters and Felise off the bench as an impact players for the rest of the season. Might as well get them into the groove now. It is better to make mistakes this year and learn rather than next year when it counts. I think that they will also learn plenty from Teddy and Woodsy.

Rona and Fonua would compete for one wing I guess but also gives us solid depth incase of injuries which we really don't have atm. Fonua also coverage as a centre as well.

Rona is miles ahead of Nofo. Haven't seen Fonua in years but I think he'll be competing with Nofo for the other wing spot.

I think if we have signed Rona, then Mahe Fonua will be competing for a spot on the wing in reserve grade.

So from what I'm hearing around the forum:
Milne is a done deal
Fonua is a done deal, just a matter of when
Rona is a done deal
Watson has asked for a release to the Tigers
Thompson was apparently a done deal, not too sure now
Klemmer has apparently asked for a release according to reports, Tigers showed interest (not too sure about this one)

Strong rumours swirling around
Extremely happy with Rona coming if true

We'll see. Nofo doesn't deserve to be a walk up starter.

Agreed. There shouldnt be one player on the team who think they dont have to earn the spot bybtrainingbthe house down. Dont put the effort in yiu dont get the spot. This year its like dont train yiu still get the spot ?

Brilliant news regarding Rona if true….Tunks is still saying we have Eastwood .....hope hes wrong we dont need that slug

The players that are most likely coming are Fonua, Rona and Milne

For Milne, there were many reports that he has signed with us. But Tigers haven't announced yet. I'm not sure where the Rona rumours are coming from. Haven't heard from Fox Sports or any other reliable source. Must be from the forum. For Fonua, if he has signed with us it would be announced by the Tigers but they clearly have not. Milne and Rona would be our left outside backs while Fonua would be our depth/isp player.

Doubt it mate..We asked about him earlier and bulldogs wouldnt pay most of his tranfer. We baulked at his price and said no thanks. Wouldnt want him anyway. Got enough props and hes too slow and fat to play 2nd row.

Rona reminds me a bit of Rapana in the way he finishes may not be as tricky to tackle but he sure was a hell of a finisher with speed and height, which we've lacked wish we still had JAC what a lethal combo they would be.

Drew Hutchinson has been told to look elsewhere. Would be nice for depth.

If Broncos play Jack Bird at lock I see a change in the way the game is played and other teams will follow.

I really see Hutchinson as that kind of ball playing lock.

I see ET as that player

He is over rated by our own fans tbh

Must be overrated by the Kiwi selectors too, hey Milky? The bloke is a heck of a player, plugging plenty of holes in our lineup at the moment.

People have been a little rough on ET - unfairly in my opinion. ET has been a consistent performer behind a pack that is going backwards. He is currently our workhorse with 50 tackles a game and people also want him to lead the metre count - that is totally unfair. Let's not forget that ET is more than a tackler - he is a ball player. With the pack going forward I would like to see ET move away from lock and play next to McQueen. He will perform under Ivan that I have no doubt.

from one of my more reliable sources but I got told this arvo that Infact Curtis Rona is a done deal to tigers. I'll try and get secondary confirmation (ie a tigers official) but he was adamant that it's done. Massive if true. Not just for tigers but would indicate western force are the team to be booted out of super rugby too

Good news for the WTs but shocking news for WA and rugby. Thanks for your advice.

Agreed The Rebels should have been punted, they have about 1 local junior player in the team, a bit like the Storm.

The fact the rebels are privately owned would of made tge decision easier.. Force are owned by the ARU so alot less hassle getting rid of them.

Wouldn't mind one of Brenton Lawrence or Albert Vete as a bench prop

Lawrence would be very handy coming off the bench.

Definitely need someone of his ilk. Looking at the minutes played on the weekend - Matulino 50mins Packer 49mins Lawrence 43mins

Rona would be a massive signing. But the skeptic in me doubts we have signed all of Rona, Milne and Fonua. I think there might be some 'plan Bs' amongst these rumours.
