I still can't get over Eastwood kicking on the third tackle against us when they were working for a field goal.

Would be a good signing ..Depth and an experienced player ,face facts the ISP team is a disgrace to say the least.
We need depth don't we.
The thing is Beale isn't going to a club to play the majority of the season in ISP…or get paid a contract which is ISP equivalent. He will want a starting FG salary wherever he goes.

At least Corey Harawira-Naera knows he can trust Penrith Panthers teammate Nathan Cleary. During his contract negotiations a couple of months ago, Harawira-Naera went out to the Cleary residence to meet with Ivan Cleary about the prospect of joining him at the Wests Tigers next season. There was Nathan, lurking in the background.
"It was pretty funny. We had a meeting with him at his place and Nathan was home," Harawira-Naera said. "He had to keep a quiet mouth around here. He couldn't really say anything. It was a bit weird. But Ivan is a nice guy. He did have me sold. It was hard to backdoor it on him, but I'm glad I did because I never wanted to leave. Ivan knew that I didn't want to leave, so when he found out Penrith placed an offer he knew my mind would have changed real quick.
"I was pretty close to going there. It was a bit hard because my mind was made up to go to the Tigers, but once they showed interest here, I wouldn't say I backflipped but it changed my mind. I didn't want to leave the Panthers. As soon as the opportunity came up to stay, I signed straight away. I'm really humbled and blessed the Panthers offered me a few more years. I owe them and I'm in debt to them for what they've done and the faith they've shown in me."

Likewise for Beale. You're not going to sign a player for 4-500k and play them in reggies, nor would they want to come for that

400-500k? jeez glad your not recruiting. beale would be 200k and roberts would around 300k.

Connor Watson is on what, 550k? As is Brooks. Tui Lolohea on 450k. Yet a player who's arguably achieved more than any of them, and is a goalkicker, would only get 300k? Lol, not a chance.
And if you think Beale would sign with us for 200k you're having a laugh. Whether he's worth more is debatable, but he's at least be on as much as someone like Nofo which is apparently around 350k. Add tot hat the fact that we've been a basket-case and we'll pay an extra 50k to have any chance of getting a player which any other club wants.
Joel Edwards is on more than 200k….!

Exactly right-some people on here think they can name a player and he will come to us and then play most of the season in reserve grade. Young guys may - people like Beale won't.

It's interesting to define an average player.
To me, Roberts can put on a dynamic play for a try and then throw the intercept for the other side's winning play at the death. He is hit and miss. You don't really know what you are going to get on the day. I reckon we steer clear of those types if we want consistency in the future.

Totally agree Hugh and Roar.
I live in Newcastle and Knights fans were glad to see the back of him.
Considering their recent record doesn't say much about him.
Definitely hit and miss as you say
