If we arent trying to move Elijah Taylor on and recruit a modern day 13 we might as well refund memberships.

Great guy, tries really hard but the game has moved on.

Who do u suggest?

Ive seen you mention Natahn Brown, he was the one we needed to keep.

Unless you have a Burgess, a Taumalolo, a Taupau etc you are not in the mix.

Twal is the best we have but he still lacks impact

Nathan Brown is the man…
Unfortunately we already let him go and he's very unlikely to return.

I'm not having a dig at u but as expected there is no genuine realistic suggestion.

We're stuck with what we have.

For the rest of the year.

2019 I think we will see a new prop or 3, backrower, centre and a winger.

Really need to nail the next signings or it will be much the same next year.

I havent nominated anyone because i couldnt be bothered looking into available s and playing that game. All we are doing here is stating the type of player we need.

The best we have for the role is Twal.

Imo it should be a priority signing for 2019.

Thats exactly what we need.

We have the nuts and bolts but we are crying out for the impact. Strike centre, edge back row/lock, dynamic winger.

Taupau is wasted at Manly then..can't see them being in the mix..

kick em out ..Come back Marty..

The club is not a draw card to high profile players unfortunately.

Poor facilities
No COE
No recent success
No sustained success

Wests need to chuck a heap of money at the coaching staff and facilities Pascoe said 2020 until we get the COE, so are we just gonna bide our time till then?
I'd say that's our plan. Forget this next year stuff, its now the year after next.

Need to remove the benchmark of us being the facility duds.

I get what people are saying about getting rid of players who are not pulling their weight or not up to standard. But is it worth jeopardising our current and future financial state just to sign a few players? I've read suggestions for up to 6 replacement players.
Wouldn't releasing those players require us to contribute to their next contract? How much over would you need to go for a Pangai Jr or Corey Oates? I would not want to be in the same boat as the Bulldogs. Don't think its worth the risk.

But please correct me if I'm wrong.

Think we've been pretty active with recruitment. But do people not realise that noone really wants to come here? This is not Ivan's fault.

Our priority is we need to cover our vacant spots first. I would be content with another centre, second rower and back up hooker for now. We really do need to try to get someone who'd be great to use with Twal. Would be good to get another winger and centre also, seeing as injuries have constantly disrupted the team this year plus we need to fill Kevvie's spot.
What are everyone's thoughts on Elijah Taylor? Have always commended his tackling efforts but not sure he really adds anything. No offence, the last time he was any good for us was when Moses was in the team.

Not sure who's off contract but I'd personally love us to get players like Maumalo, Tapine or the pommy Kallum Watkins. I've always been a fan of Paasi and wish we would have landed him.

I’m starting to get the feeling the bulldogs aren’t in as bad a position as they led on. They may of created the feeling of desperation just so they could off load a few square pegs so that can build a better TEAM.
Just a feeling.

If your going to go to England. Throw the sink at Jake Conner! No one else is worth anything over there. Raiders signed the only other decent prop.

Unfortunately we are a club that recruits and builds of mediocrity, we encourage it and the players are satisfied with maintaining that level.

We could start by targeting big, quick backs with hopeless ball skills and turn them into footballers rather than hopeing our little slow backs with great ball skills can become bigger and stronger.

Same goes for the backrow.
I watched a 17 year old debut for our flegg team 3 weeks ago and he looked a beast. Israel Sefale is a big and quick centre. We need to keep an eye on those guys for starters. I’d give Israel Gibbs’ development contract.

‘ I don’t know the name of the 17 year old, I was talking about 2 different people. He had a pony tail and was in everything. Young Alex Sefarth looks a prospect as well.
Everyone else can leave our flegg team.

We have 10 off contract.
6 of those have played first grade this year.

Only Farah and Marshall would be worth keeping unless we can get better options.

Farewell to MWZ, Grant, Sue and Godinet.

The other four who haven't played grade are development players as far as I know. One (Heath Gibbs) has already left. Leaving Mikaele, Smith and McIntyre… Hardly taking up much cap.

Reynolds & McQueen.... Need to consider their health. Too injury prone. Time to hang up the boots. Who really expects Grub to see out his contract?

And the dead wood remains....
Eisenhuth. Fonua. Gamble. Lolohea. Rochow.

And to a lesser extent...
Packer (Cat).
Matulino (Flop)
Liddle (💔)
MCK (state cup God)
Elijah Taylor (dopey)

Need a lot of upgrades across the list...
Shameful.

Why is Fonua deadwood? Has struggled to catch a ball or two but fair to say he has been in everything and provides great impact getting out of our own end.

He's not a complete footballer imo.
We need an upgrade.

8\. Twal
9\. Lichaa*
10\. Thomas Mikaele
11\. Lawrence (C)
12\. Garner
13\. Taylor

14\. Packer
15\. Matulino
16\. Aloiai
17\. Tyrell Fuimaono*

Not bad just need to find a better number 13 and we will be sweet

Can farah play lock?
Lol ET ain't that bad, he's just dopey and not really threatening… Like a Liam Fulton like tackle machine.

**Again, not much talent off contract atm so unless we can try and get decent players on an early release we're stuck with what we got....**

Agree with this - not much out there that want to come to us unfortunately.

Great guy, tries really hard but the game has moved on.

Start refunding - don't think he is going anywhere soon.

He's not even the main concern imo..
We got two front rower NZ reps who are under performing…
Only one good 2RF (Lawrence) and our best is a guy in his first year (Twal)
Bench is barely ISC standard.

The trouble is the balance of the team. Watching it live on Sunday it's clear to me Taylor just gets in the way on the attacking set ups.

We have Mybe, Brooks, Reynolds and Farah who are all ball playing then along comes Elijah who wants to ball play as well.

The balance is a mess and his role needs to go to someone who can help out the props.

Wonder how many will be happy if both Clearys sign with the rorters

Roosters are more than happy with Robinson.

If Ivan goes to the rorters i would throw the chequebook at Robinson - would pick up some handy players as well i would think - and maybe even an assistant coach.
