We are clearing the decks at the moment. Who for will be interesting. Off the books next year looks like a large amount.

Siro 450k, Tui 350k, MWX $100k, Kev 300k, Grant 350k, Suli 400k, Milne 200k, Mcilwrick 150k totals 2.3m.

We have signed or increased the following for next year: Mbye 500k (subsidised by Dogs), Corey Thompson say 200k increase, Garner say 150k increase, Marsters say 250k increase: Total 1.1m.

Reports were we had and front loaded 1m in salary cap for this year.

If Tui leaves and Marshall and Farah don’t get signed we have 7 spots and 2.2m available next year. That’s a heap of room for new players.

Does anyone see it any differently or knows who we are targeting?

I wish I could see where you got Sirro on $450k…. :roll

He was signed to a big extension before he left. It wouldn’t be far off. Irrespective my point is we have a lot of cap room and nearing the off-season.

we should have kept lolohea at 5/8 he really played well last year, he is big and fast so good close to the line. could have saved $750,000 on signing a injured grub.

I agree bp. Unfortunately- as much as I like Josh Reynolds he is going to be injury prone and we are not going to see much of him on the field :bash can we get a refund :crazy

Are you allowed to have 15 development players?

Tigers need to build a winning culture and are obviously looking at winning ISP to build from the ground up

How would you design a plodder as an emblem?

Couldn't even pay some one to take him.

Professional sideline man.

again what the hell is ivan waiting for, we will have heaps of money and there will be no one to buy. can see us with the same pack again next year at this rate.

Problem is, how do you know Ivan is waiting? No one can force players to come to the club. The reason we went so hard for Reynolds was the fact we missed out on other players. I'd guess we are trying to sign players but they are choosing to sign eksewhere,

The time we needed to strike on the player market is over

All externally players see is the same old WT's

Stats in todays paper show Brian Kelly as the worst defensive centre in the NRL, Gagai 2nd Hiku 3rd.
So he would probably fit right in here, no tigers in top 6 missed tackles for centres though

Whatever the stats are they don't show him as the worst defensive centre, they just show he has the most missed tackles or the worst tackle efficiency or something like that. I doubt he is ahead of Hiku on either of those counts though. Supercoach and champion data stats show Hiku with more missed tackles and worse tackle efficiency than Kelly and Gagai and Hiku has been awful to watch in defence too. Kelly isn't a good defensive centre by any stretch but he doesn't look noticeably awful. Brenko Lee is noticeably awful - he doesn't even get a hand on his opposing number as he lets them stroll by so it doesn't register as a missed tackle. Kerrod Holland on the weekend also appeared awful - he reacted way too slowly to shifts and got repeatedly burned on the outside by Jarrod Croker on regulation backline movements. I've seen quite a few of Kelly's games and he's not struck me as bad in his reads or too slow or too lazy, he's just not yet got the size to be a great 1 v 1 defender.

I don't mind Kelly, he would be an upgrade for us, just saying the missed tackle stats that were in the paper, the story was on Gagai and his bad defensive reads, and he was second to Kelly.

Im ok with whats hapoening. We made sure we had enough border ljne first graders to have an ok squad. We took a gamble on some talented uproven types. We have now seen how they have gone and we are working it out accordingly.
Tui had potential but hasnt made the cut. Grant, mwz , kev, killa were all servicable and helped make up our numbers. Now we let them go because the coach feels we have better opitions. Mcqueen would be another to let go but we will see how that pans out.

Out of the flyers we took benji, fonua, thompson, gardner and mybe (maybe to early on mybe) have panned out well. Now we just need to keep trying to obtain talent and slowly move the less likely on.

Jurys out for me on packer mats reynolds seen some good seen some not so good.

Well said Hodgo.

With Tui going i think IC is looking ahead and know that NC is coming in 2020 and we would than move Brooks to 6 and NC to 7… Josh R will be 14 as injuries will stop him starting. Goof to get Tui off the books to free up some money.

Everyone is going on about buying players next year.. All the decent players come off contract in 2020\. So next year will be a line put through the season as well. 2020 depending on if we get anyone.
