Wighton would offer us so much at centre, probably the best available option ATM.

1\. Moses Mbye
2\. David Nofoaluma
3\. Jack Wighton
4\. Paul Momirovski
5\. ???

Need another winger…

Marsters lock or backrow...

Marsters in centre and momirovski on wing for now?

He might not look imposing but Thompson does a good job on the wing. Knows how to finish well, can break a tackle and gives his all. I wouldn’t be displacing him to play Momirovski out of position.

One of the first players picked. Also handy to have slot in at FB.

1\. Moses Mbye
2\. David Nofoaluma
3\. Esan Masters
4\. Mahe Fonua/Momirovski
5\. Corey Thompson

If anyone seriously thinks that Thompson isn't a walk up starter in that backline they weren't watching him last season. He is a great player. Our problems are in the centres. Wighton would be good for us but from reading those articles I wonder if we'd sign him.

The last few pages confirm to me what a waste of time this thread is. Go back and forth, arguing about players the club might not even be interested in. What's the point?

keeps us interested until we get real signing news

:dead …...... NOT

Yep ...... but we still rush to it and cling to it as it’s the only thread of salvation in the vast seas of boredom called “dreaded “Off Season”!

trent merrin seems to be trying to do a backflip

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/teams/panthers/penrith-or-bust-leeds-in-limbo-as-trent-merrin-knocks-back-marquee-deal/news-story/c3d164ed35391163f449961b32cacc2b?nk=4e3749e9e102e1b32e472ebc0ea1848a-1541566493

Should put some extra pressure on the panthers cap situation

Good, they deserve to get stung. They hand out long-term, big money contracts like candy with the expectation they can just move contracted players on whenever it’s convenient to them. They got out of jail with Bryce Cartwright, Matt Moylan and Leilani Latu so I hope Merrin sticks it out there with his $750K hole in their cap…

lets keep this cap situation going, i want to see panthers slowly die as they lose their games next season

Jerome Luai is the player the Panthers want to extend and upgrade. IC loves him and has followed his progression through the grades. Anyone get the sniff of conflict of interest? Let's hope Merrin stays and IC loses Luai.

What’s the point of any of the threads? It’s just a form of entertainment. Some of us like analysing strengths and weaknesses in rosters and identifying possible signings and breakout talents. It’s the same kind of thing that makes SuperCoach appealing to me.

Thanks. Just found at it is a 5 year deal. Coincidence?

Yes, Surely the NRL must act to stop these perceived and real conflicts of interest.

If you don't like rumours and speculation maybe don't click on a title called "Signing suggestions and Rumours thread".
The point is banter and to speculate.

Cook apparently seeking $4m over 4 years. Call me biased but I think at height of his powers, RF had him covered for all round skills. Not to say Cook isn't a very good hooker but not worth that money.

Yeah his game is all about speed and he’ll be 28 at the start of the contract. I wouldn’t touch him for $1 million a year or for 4 years commencing in 2020\. He had a great year but so did Segeyaro when he was hooker of the year…
