Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Reports that Danny Levi could be on his way, since Newcastle stated they wouldn't stand in the way of a release.

Lets hope not - don't think his attitude would allow him to play reggies.

Liddle was a NSW representative hooker in his age group and is twice the player Levi is.

i would take liddle over levi any day, he is a great developing player, and we should see more of him in the season to come, if he stays with us

Levi pulls his pants up too high my liking. He looked ridiculous in some games last year. WTs drycleaners wouldnt be too happy if we signed him.

Hopefully no injuries and a contract extension for Liddle

MADGE'S LATE COOK PLUNGE
Damien Cook is close to coming to terms with Souths on a rich new four-year deal - but not before one last attempt to poach him by his former coach Michael Maguire.
‘Madge’ coached Cook at Souths two years ago and is keen to get him to his new club, the Tigers for 2019.
Cook was the most dynamic hooker in the game last season with his dashes out of dummy-half and Souths are desperate to retain him.
But the Tigers have money to spend and Maguire is even prepared to let a couple of players go to get Cook on board.

that is interesting, he says he is willing to let a few players go….... if that happens dont make the wrong decison madge

I really hope there is nothing to the Cook speculation. In the right pack he would do well but that pack is not one we have + the big dollars he would want should be definately spent on our weaker spots

If Madge reckons he is worth the $$$ then I'm ok with that. He is the coach, after all. He lives and dies by his decisions.

would using the expression "good riddance to bad rubbish" link with hayne?

Are you familiar with the concept of " Innocent until proven guilty "?

Let's let the courts decide before condemning anyone.

I reckon we've got plenty under the cap. We had surplus last year. Wouldn't have to let players go.

But if anything, would be his agent spinning this. Which club has money that has potential ties to cook? Makes it somewhat believable.

x100 My humble opinion is that this would be a wrong move.
Hopefully just putting pressure on Liddle to perform and resign longer term contract.
We need to better spend money on some quality players to fill forward and back line gaps.

Agent trying to squeeze as much money out of souths as possible. Easy to use WT and Madge as you say.

Hayne being charged with rape at Ryde police station right now, will almost certainly be remanded in custody, so gaol tonight for him, and no club will touch him now

I’d be surprised if he was refused bail. Not a flight risk and doesn’t seem like community protection would require him to be in custody.

Channel 10 said, because court had closed today, he will be held in police cells

That really doesnt make sense for a denial of bail

Due to the fact the charges are aggravated sexual assault
