Was that speed recorded when he slipped trying to tackle Tedesco?

First time I saw him play this year he had a few errors and the second game against bulldogs he had 5 errors, 4 bad reads in defence , 2 led to try’s , penalised for mouthing of at ref even though he was captain, but got promoted to cc round 3

Sounds like Nathan Brown when he was coming through.

Brown was another bad loss, he is what we need now at 13

@851 We must be up their with losing top quality players - Brown, Korobeite, JAC, Tatola, Douehi, Papenhuyzen and the troubled trio. Our response is to buy "solid players" who are cheap but don't add anything to our capacity to play finals football.

Bro, forget Koro and Brown - had such a gun team during those years they came through, still couldn’t close out a game, by far the biggest problem with our club’s history. JAC from my knowledge asked many times to walk/would not wait under any circumstance when Storm came aknocking, same as paps... Tatola Might be the only one you’ve mentioned we clearly did not care for or rate at the time (big mistake).

IMHO though, had we kept 2-3 of said players it still wouldn’t equate to finals footy.

Tedesco, on the other hand...

Bennett has just confirmed George Burgess will not be at souths next year, after his suspension his price might be some what reduced

We lost Tatola because they prioritised Felise over him and nobody was particularly complaining at the time - Felise looked the more dynamic player. Don't know what happened to him, he really just fell off a cliff...
How is Doueihi a "top quality" player too? If he were in our team P&C would be complaining that he's too slow...

Trying to pad the argument with Tatola and Doueihi. Neither are better than what we’ve already got.

@WT2K He'd be worth it at that price. Maybe offer 375k, but no higher than $400k.

He's been crap for years, it'd just be throwing money at a name...

Absolute bonehead with feet for hands.

Still better than what we trot out each week, he is in our starting team, bonehead and all

@Nelson Whoever "they" are got it wrong, but they are paid to get it right This is a constant story with WTs, losing many of the keepers and buying solid players who lack pace and spark. Douehi held is own in a very good Stouhs team until suffering a serious knee injury, which takes around 12 months to recover from. I'd have him back in a flash in our centres. And it is nice that you know who I would be complaining about. How about the club addressing the absolute shambolic lack of pace in the backline? that is the immediate issue which needs to be addressed.

Did you rate Tatola as a better prospect than Felise at the time? Honestly? Nobody making these decisions has a crystal ball and using hindsight to be judgmental of them is pretty cheap. There are plenty of legitimate complaints to be made but that move is not among them.
On Doueihi: is he fast? Would signing him address the "shambolic lack of pace" in our backline? Pretty sure it wouldn't. You got some holes in your logic there...as for his "spark" it has generated 1 try assist and 2 tries in 18 games. We've got plenty of that kind of spark about.

@Nelson Tatola was a must keep and yes absolutely he should have been kept, It was obvious in his days with Balmain he was a keeper. Douehi, Suli, Seyfarth and Papenhuyzen all stands out and keepers. Another kid in HM at that stage, a 5/8 by the name of Lachlan Ilias. You won't find his name in the WTs because he too is at Souths. An Aust Schools Rugby rep and obvious to another club he was prodigiously talented.
