They're apparently planning on starting McInness at 9 and then moving him to 13 when Luke comes on off the bench. McGregor's brilliant idea to waste the advantage of having an 80 minute hooker...

Miss World is tilting battle for Jai Arrow’s signature. The opportunity for his girlfriend to take her modelling career to the next level is swaying the future of one of the NRL’s most in-demand stars.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs aren’t messing around this off-season as they eye off several stars to reload for the future. Their hopes of luring one star away from the Gold Coast could all be helped by his model girlfriend.

Jai Arrow comes out of contract after the 2020 season and has been earmarked as the man to help fill the void left behind by Greg Inglis, John Sutton and the Burgess brothers.Arrow, 24, didn’t re-sign with the Gold Coast Titans ahead of the November 1 deadline and is expected to attract offers of $850,000 a season and above as clubs line up to secure his services. But his model girlfriend Taylah Cannon, who was last year’s Miss World Australia, could prove the biggest asset for the Rabbitohs with reports she has told friends a move to Sydney would help her career.

Cannon’s management company, Vivien’s Models, have previously stated they encourage their clients to make the move to Sydney if they want to “get to the next level”.“We recommend to all our models up here to move to our Vivien’s Sydney branch if they want to get to the next level of their modelling career. Sydney would be great for Taylah,” Vivien’s Queensland manager Georgia Barclay said to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Arrow is still weighing up where his future lies, but has said the duo will do “what’s best for us” when it comes to deciding.

The problems for Arrow if he moves to Sydney are

1) Taylah goes to Specsavers

2) She meets a dashing Wests Ttgers bachelor at an NRL function.

How does he keep a job. He is one of the worst coaches i've ever seen. Absolutely no idea.

yay or nay?

Nay - think he is too old and we have enough peeps who can play on the wing.

Don't know him but is he as good as Thompson and Noffo to start with - let alone the young blokes coming through.

OR is he another Jennings?

It's not Young Tonumaipea, it's a forward from union named Waita Setu who also happens to be 27. He's a big body but his skills as a flanker really don't translate to league. Have a look at him sure, but I can't see him offering much. I'd have rated Jesse Parahi a better chance of succeeding and we know how that ended!

Nelson in that case it is a Nay to both from me.

That is why I said "one of". Kearney is equally bad. And Garth Brennan. Wow.

G'day @jadtiger: if there is talk of Madge being interested in signing him, that's good enough for me.
As many of our posters say "have faith in Madge".

I had lots of doubts about Madge re Ryan Madderson, but he wasn't Madge's choice and from many suggestions on here there was conflict.

Any player that Madge chooses will know exactly what to expect, so if Madge says yes.......it's a yes from me.

Have a great day :santa:  :tada: :church:

Looks like Matt Bowen if he swallowed Matt Scott.

Maybe they plan to play him in the back row?

Don’t get to excited his only manage to play 3 games of union for the Qld Reds which was back in 2016 the majority of his games have been park Rugby Union...These types of signings are purely to strengthen our CC team which has been in decline the last couple of years.

Yep, a guy playing club rugby in Brisbane is unlikely to make the starting side of our CC squad. With no Ron Massey side now either there may not be a lot of point but if he wants to trial for a contract then good luck to him. Could be a backup, backup prop at that level.

Did play for the Broncs and Storm as a junior apparently. At Storm when Madge was there.

Just curious but are there any teams that have two players on there roster that get paid 1 million + a season ??

Yes.

Manly has 3. Nth Qld has 2. Roosters have 2-3. Knights must almost have 2 too

If you got the right rugby player he might succeed

Problem is many of those big guys struggle because their motors don't have to be big and they would get caught out laterally in league

Remember a rugby teams has two flankers extra and you rarely see tackle counts for players in union get over 25 and they are usually the players in Elijah Taylor molds
