Boy we are getting desperate and our expectation signings levels are being eroded rather quickly.

Yeah we've been grounded pretty quickly.

I can see us discussing the merits of bringing back Pita Godinet any day now.

Is it just me or does it smell like Jordan Rankin 2.0?

Sort of didn’t make it here. Goes to ESL does well and wants to come back but ended up going back.

Jackson may be better but I remember him being bog average in NRL.

He barely had a start in NRL. His departure from Manly had nothing to do with his playing ability. He and Rankin are chalk and cheese.

What has Rankin got to do with it?

He was brought up in the comment I was replying to.

Hastings is good enough to play here and would have been playing here if not for other issues. At the very least a top 30 squad member.

I would be happy to see him with a 12 month contract under Madge to see how he goes

Hopefully it works out in every way and he has a great year and extends

Physically he is a great NRL prospect

There are though some demons he has to overcome

What I got out of the saga at Manly which led to the guy being chased out of the country was .. he is a bit different in personality than most . Well what a drama NOT . If the supporters of our club put up with the tantrums and dummy spits that Farah unleashed for years , I welcome Hastings different and all ! he is a quality player that can play the game ..

Didn’t he just have a run in , with a world class douche bag in DCE ? And DCE staying true to form , rather than be an adult , just had him removed from the club ?
Or was it more than that ?

He is ESL level and there is nothing wrong with that. He will be able to earn a good living in the UK.

I think if there hadn't been a falling out at Manly, he'd be playing Origin by now. His talent was never the issue, his personality was the issue. And in that regard, I think the last 2 years have been really good for him.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Well, I'd say you would want to end up with someone better than Hastings on/off the field when Benji retires.

Blake Green will be 34 this year, we better not be going anywhere near him

I realise that - but if people are considering Hastings - I would still take green if he was 36.
