Still in shock AD is being talked about in the 500k range. Honestly, how did that even happen at Souths.

Simply put, AD is not a 500k player. He is JUST potential at this moment.

Name one starting fullback in the nrl who’s better than him and on less money.

Err, how many games has he played at fullback? He is completely unproven. Players like Ponga are the exception. AD is nowhere near a Ponga.

I'm definitely not saying I don't want AD, or I don't believe he has talent. He is just absolutely not worth that money right now, and it's a big gamble to give it to him.

Leilua is looking closer to being a Tiger, no official offer but prepared to pay $500,000 over 3 years.
Douhei is keen & so is Madge, as been said before major sticking point is what Souths will put in. They don’t want to cover anything & we refuse to pay all or his 2021 wage. So that could hit a stalemate.

The Tigers digging their heels in does nothing. Souths won't budge and we have no leverage in negotiations. All we're doing is allowing other clubs a chance to swoop in.

This isn't some surplus signing like Stefano. It would fix a weakness in our squad.

Just sign the damn kid for what he's worth

But that’s the whole point - that ‘damn kid’ is on $600 next year and Souths don’t want to pay anything.

Paying for potential or paying for established the age old question. I mean if AD could work his way to be a top 6-8 fullback or 5/8 in the league Then obviously him. But he’s not there yet

If people honestly think that Addo-Carr is a chance to come to the tigers, they haven’t been paying attention this entire offseason. The tigers recruitment staff have proven they’re unable to attract big name players with options. Doueihi on the other hand wants to be here and I think it’s crazy they are screwing this opportunity up. What is the point of having cap space if we miss the 8 again
