NRL physio reporting Billy Smith has indeed done his ACL, and the opposite one that he did in 2018. Would need a reconstruction and looking at 2021 return.


Well that now has the Rorters back in the market for a centre .. if we don't play our cards correctly here BJ could end up back at the Rorters .. !!

He was sacked by the Roosters years ago, doubt that they will re-sign him.

Of all the tigers “missed signings” for 2020, the one they are going to regret the most is Phillip Sami.

That's a shame for Billy. He is a gun player.

We don't need BJ - Tommy Talau, Momo and MBye can all fill the breach & do a good job. Wilson, Riszk will also come through over the next season or so.

What are the key spots we need to fill? I think Nofa and Jennings (who looks much fitter) can fill the wing spots well this year and I still like Corey at FB. For me with Benji getting on and maybe prone to injury 5/8th is our weakness despite recruiting Walters but hope he proves me wrong. We also lack a genuine hooker and ball playing forward. These are the areas we should be targeting.

I think we'll miss AD and BJ even more if we miss out on them to be honest. Hopefully there's some movement this week with those two.

Who has been the biggest surprise in their numbers that you have done

Not via myself, can’t speak for everyone who does it. Clubs tend to keep the info close to their chests.

Well if you **believe media numbers tigers hold 3 of the worst contracts ever (mbye,Reynolds,Packer) other clubs in recent times parker for manly is a undervalued player who rates highly Dylan Edwards is Hugh as a fullback as well If your going back a few years jordan rapana was always one who always out performed his value. Curtis rona another one. Actually If you didn’t have a name next to their numbers in 2015/16 you would of ranked them in the top 4 wingers in the game.

I don't place any value on those metrics at all. Reynolds is a bad contract only because of injury. Who could have predicted that? He was a SOO player not long before he was signed. As for top 4 wingers, rating them above Valentine Holmes, Semi Radrada, Josh Mansour, Brett Morris, Corey Oates etc., etc., please...

2016-18 rapana v ANY of those listed players On any scale was above and or equal. The job in analytics is to not “fall in love” with the story of a player or the media hype.

If any winger could be available RIGHT now based on the last
2-3 years who would you choose ?

For the Tigers, Blake Furguson. He may not be the leading tryscorer and may make the odd mistake but for what he brings to a team...priceless. Or Corey Oates.
