Matt Johns is pretty respected as a halves coach. I remember he did a lot of work with Cronk.

He did....and i think he is the “right” brother to have

Any ideas?

Anyone but Blocker. He can’t even get half the names of the players right and hes STILL not ever the merger. Pretty sure he thinks it’s Balmain Tigers out there running around. The less involved he is the better

Wasn’t Lozza blocked last year from working with us due to his employment with TAB via Sky Sports?

Really poor form. How about demonstrating respect for his achievements. If Maguire wants him in that is his decision.

I never said he didn’t have good achievements, great player in his day but if you’ve heard him commentate the bloke doesn’t understand modern footy and lives in the past, don’t think he’s suited for coaching at all.

Some real sooks out there bra.
Fair comment for mine.

Clearly some big blocker fans on here ? never once took anything away from him as a player, just don’t think he’s suited for a full time coaching role.

Has been great reading the past week. Thanks to Wests Tigers recruitment and all you contributors. 2020 is looking good. 2021 probably even better and 2022 wow! Things have turned at WT. Credit to all, and then some. If the boys put in the hard yards and play for each other, the club and all its supporters. We will be a powerhouse in the coming years. Am so looking forward to all this and are so many of us! I am also excited about Edene Gebbie. He will be a weapon, the Tank 2.0! Wotsmoke / POM love your posts! If you hear anymore on this front please keep us all posted. Would prefer him over the Fox. He will run over him. Also at a fraction of the cost!!!

I thought maybe Belcher. Is he still with fox?. Just guessing and thinking there may be a Canberra connection with Madge. Could be a fullback mentor for Doehi. He was certainly an outstanding fullback even though he was a raider and qldr and Gary Jacks nemesis. I think Brasher took his aussie fullback spot in the end tho so tigers had last laugh from memory

Gasnier always gives us a positive wrap whilst others just throw dirt on us.

He is very respectful.

Blocker has his failings, as do we all, but nobody can doubt his love of our club. He had a terrific record as a player and was one of the best front rowers to ever play the game. If Madge reckons he can help the team, good enough for me.

Blocker is one of the relics of the past and should stay there ... he has nothing to offer this club moving forward! Just jobs for the boys he’s been on the books before with no major outcome and has had his day in the sun . Yes a great Balmain player BALMAIN player of the past and that is where it should stay .
I just wish this club would leave the past where it belongs ...

We finished 13th and 15th under Potter and it could be argued we had a pretty decent pack of forwards - so i don't know where we added the starch.
