SHOOSH IIII: Which former Test star and Fox Sports commentator met with Tigers coach Michael Maguire recently to discuss a coaching role?

Any ideas?

Gasnier.

They said they won't renew his contract at fox.

No Gasnier please -the way he mangles the English language our back line would become the front line and the forwards would run backwards.

Gasnier is a tigers fan.

Gasnier is not a tigers fan but he does have a lot of respect for our club, far more than he does for most other clubs

Gasnier always gives us a positive wrap whilst others just throw dirt on us.

He is very respectful.

Blocker has his failings, as do we all, but nobody can doubt his love of our club. He had a terrific record as a player and was one of the best front rowers to ever play the game. If Madge reckons he can help the team, good enough for me.

Blocker is one of the relics of the past and should stay there ... he has nothing to offer this club moving forward! Just jobs for the boys he’s been on the books before with no major outcome and has had his day in the sun . Yes a great Balmain player BALMAIN player of the past and that is where it should stay .
I just wish this club would leave the past where it belongs ...

Not just a great Balmain player Snake but also great rep player for NSW and Australia.
All speculative atm but trust that who ever Maguire brings on board it will be for good reason.

Yeah, why would you want one of the greatest ever props to mentor our young and up and coming ones on the finer arts of forward play??

The only problem with him trying to pronounce his name - Nawaqanitawase

But he is a real goer

To be fair 10/16 isn’t a great sample size. He’s meant to be a good kicker. In 2018 Mbye kicked 36/46 for Bulldogs which isn’t bad and he got 10/13 for us last year. Think he didn’t kick due to having groin injuries

As long as he isn't commentating .....used to be a Lozza thread about his shocking commentating

Wasn’t Lozza blocked last year from working with us due to his employment with TAB via Sky Sports?

Yeah thought maybe the NRL may have changed their minds perhaps ....Im thinking who I'd want helping the boys

Daley ,Johns or Cronk would be good ...pass on the rest

Agreed - the other guy who could be good would be Scott Prince I reckon

He can't , his wife has to drive an ambulance.

Who else?
Blocker, not relevant in the modern game
Gasnier, still in touch with the modern game, but a player more known for individual skills than team centered enterprise.
Ennis, tied up with Canberra.
Brandy, a Panther till the end.
Matty Johns, too many things on the go.
That only leaves Braith, less said about that one the better

help with the 9's tournament
