Sharks signed Mulitalo until 2023 before he became available to negotiate. We need to do the same with Aloai, Mikalele, Nofa etc.

***We wait until contract years then wonder why we get outbid.***

Do we though? Who was the last player that we left negotiations until the end and we got outbid?

Tevita Pangai Jr - 24

Is that how many games you expect him to be suspended for next year?He has a terrible record at the donkeys so how would him being here make any positive difference?I suppose he could hold Packers hand in the grandstand each week watching the game.

first we've heard of Brooks being on the chopping block which I found interesting. Phelps' mail was horrendous in terms of cap money but I wonder if he got right who has been shown the door.

Where was that reported about Brooks?

Tele this morning one of the high paid members being shopped or told they can look around .. about time Brooks was put on the reject list in public !

If true, Cleary had no difficulty getting the best from him.

Why can't Maguire?

We won't get a halfback of his quality in the market.

Plenty of coaches available including Payten.

He plays with a lot of aggression which sometimes gets him in trouble, something that our pack has lacked for a while is an aggressor if Madge can help him use that aggression in the right manner he would be our best forward in the team hands down... he’s only 24, maturity in his game is what’s stopping him from being one of the best forwards in he game and that maturity can come with the right coaching

BIKIE BARBER NOT PANGAI’S ONLY CLOSE SHAVE

THE trouble for Tevita Pangai Jnr is the bikies barber shop COVID breach wasn’t his first rodeo when it comes to breaching the bubble.

The NRL Integrity Unit has a number of examples of Pangai Jnr blowing the bubble. The Broncos bubble, the NRL bubble, the household bubble.

Fair dinkum, it’s hard to keep up with all the bubbles. It’s a bubble-a-thon.

Pangai is unlikely to play in the NRL again this season as a result of attending a number of restaurants and cafes outside of the bubble.

The Broncos are expected to tear up his contract in coming days.

The New Zealand Warriors and Wests Tigers appear the most logical options for the Brisbane Broncos forward to land at next season.

The Tigers need an enforcer while Warriors recruitment boss Peter O’Sullivan enjoys a strong bond with Pangai.

Pangai Jr would imo by the final piece to the puzzle for our forward pack - we lack a strong second rower to partner Lucy... look at this pack and how much stronger we look just with the addition of only him, I think he would be a phenomenal signing and he’s only 24 as well

Not one player besides Packer is over 24... having Packer there as a mentor as well who apparently despite his reputation is a good leader would be beneficial also

Pretty confident we’ll either have one of Harry Grant or Brandon Smith in 2021

8. Josh Alioia - 24
9. Harry Grant - 22 or Brandon Smith - 24
10. Russell Packer - 30
11. Luciano Leilua - 24
12. Tevita Pangai Jr - 24
13. Alex Twal - 24

Bench
14. Jacob Liddle - 23
15. Thomas Mikaele - 22
16. Shawn Blore - 20
17. Stefano Utoikamanu - 20

Plays lock for mine with the occasional wide run. Get in him some decent minutes.
However lock would suit our rotations better in the short term.
Twal back to prop.
Thought we only had 300k for next year for three players how are we all of a sudden in the running?

Pangai was quoted today.. saying....” that he didn’t care as the Broncos are a basket case “.

I wish I could just not care about 30k

The guy is a complete flog and has always been the worst player out of Fifita, Haas, Lodge and himself

Maturity comes from within and his previous actions show he is as sharp as a bollard.Coaching does not bring maturity to a player and as much as Madge is a good coach he couldnt change the Burgess thugs and so far hasnt changed Packer or BJ i doubt if pangai would be anymore receptive

Aggression is something we need which TPJ does have...though I wouldn’t go there. He seems to come across as a little self absorbed and a bit of a ‘me’ player. JWH and Papalii, Klemmer are the kind of aggressors you would ideally want. Someone that can put on a hit, inspire the boys and be a team player. Someone professional. TPJ is a big version of Latrell - great highlights package when it’s all said and done, but probably won’t have a great legacy for being a bit of a flog.

Last thing our team needs is another media circus due to a Matterson/Moses like ‘ME’ centred player.

I’m more talking about his maturity on the field, in terms of discipline and managing his aggression in a beneficial matter which I believe is coachable - cause if he gets that aspect of his game right then he has the ability to be one of the best forwards in the comp and would bring a lot to our pack

Have I missed something?

Hahaha thought the same thing. Would love it for sure, but a signing like that doesn’t really fit the wests tigers narrative. Too good to be true

Sounds that way. Our best bet is to get players released from clubs where we have relationships. Storm and Roosters look like clubs we can deal with and probably Gold Coast based on Corey and rumoured Mbye move. Luciano and Matterson I believe we’re under contract looking for an opportunity.

Smith, Addo Carr or Grant would be a similar type deal. Knowing our luck we will end up with John Olive on a 4 year 2m deal.

Tuipulotu debuting for the chooks tonight. there was a few whispers we were after him as well as AJ. interested to see how he performs

Knowing our luck we’ll end up getting neither, Momo will stay at storm and we will get Brenko Lee instead
