The Fox wants to play fullback next year and we are the only Sydney team without an established fullback. Douehi has an excellent passing game but fullback seems a bridge too far due to lack of genuine speed.

It’s a wild risk but one we should take. The other is DWZ who I’m told is not rated as anything but a winger at the Dogs and by Barrett. He’s apparently not happy Meaney is fullback. His form has collapsed this year as a result.

We have no strike at all in the backline but getting a fast fullback even if not a specialist is a risk we should take as I’m convinced Douihei can be an excellent 5/8z

Plus his favourite player was Brett Hodgson who could coach him.

JAC does not possess anything to be a good fullback besides his pace. He would also demand big money if he wants to play fullback which is probably his main reason for wanting the move.

Don’t think it’ll happen, he’ll have no choice but to play on the wing

Doesn’t have the passing or kicking game and has never played the position. Is that enough for you or you still want to pay him fullback money just like we did for Mbye and then move him when it fails?

I disagree that he doesn't have the skill set tbh. While I don't think he is worth big money in the possy without actual playing alot of it the skill sets he needs are there. He is lightening quick a dangerous runner. Has shown this year he is a fine passer of the footy. The only question is reading the game from the possy imo

He is that marquee player the club needs fingers crossed I’d renew membership if we got him even after this disaster of a year

He says that they want to be closer to his wife's family in Kempsey as well.

Maybe he can play FB for the Kempsey Wolves.

Or he could play on the wing for us.

Lets hope this fullback talk removes souths out of the talks .... With LM there to play FB that would not fit well.

I say give him a go at FB and if it doesn't work then back to wing as long as we don't pay too much for him. He would certainly be classed as a major signing for us and the club needs something.. Plus i like the fact he has been around Slater, Cronk & Smith for 5 years and understands how to win and prepare well.
He looked out of sorts for the first 6 games this year but has kicked into gear sense then... But getting him home close to his family might lift him to another level :man-shrugging: I was against the idea at first but be really really lack pace and he fits the bill..

Haven’t we had enough out of position players? JAC doesn’t have the passing, kicking, defence or from what I’ve seen smarts for fullback.

He is a great winger. He is no fullback and the last thing we need is to spend good money on a fullback and end up having to move them again
