Sorry Tigersman, I edited that post as all the question marks were doing my head in!

Yep! I'm pretty sure he's still doing the video analyst job. I'm sure I see him in the box with JT and co

I don't buy or normally read the Telegraph, but I found one at work today and read the article. Well done to them for following Simon's story. That bloke is a true inspiration. Lifting weights like that with one arm in unbelievable. I struggle to lift half of that with two arms.

Firstly, well done to Brad Fittler. Thats a really nice thing to do for a bloke who has done it tough for a few years now…....so big man hug for you Brad Fittler.

Shame Shame Shame on the NRL and the Wests Tigers for not giving Simon more financial support. These blokes put their bodies on the line for the Club and the Game and if they get injured are just tossed on the scrap heap. No wonder players are just after the biggest financial contracts these days because they know that if they get injured........no-one wants to know them.

Lastly, all the best to you Simon......hope the recovery goes from strength to strength.

Well Simon - you hear some good stories from time to time but this one takes the cake for me Mate!
All the hard work and effort is starting to pay off - keep up the commitment and I'm sure you will progress a lot more. Gee I miss you on the field, probably as much as you miss being there.

Had another look at that hit on Hargreaves - Whooh! how good was it.
All the best Simon - we can't do too much to help but please know that us Forumers (and indeed all Wests Tigers supporters) have not forgotten you and are with you every step of the way. You are an inspiration to us all.

To Freddy - Mate! always liked you as a player - you are making me like you more every day with the stuff you do for others. Well done, for all you have done for Simon and are doing.
Like the stuff you and Andrew are doing for the game and the young guys up in the islands - all at your own expense. Admiration plus for you Freddy.

Great story from a kid who doesn't know the meaning of the word Quit…

Absolutely brilliant news. From everything I have heard, Dwyer certainly has the work ethic and determination to inspire anyone looking to overcome an obstacle.

Thanks Freddy

You might be a space cadet on the TV , but you've got a heart as big as Phar Laps

I've grown to really like Freddy over the last few years. I didn't like him when he first came into media after playing but he really gives back to the game and strikes me as the sort of bloke who would give you his last ten bucks because he felt you needed more than he.

The heading for this article should read

"QLD specialist extorting vulnerable injured Tiges boy 10k per consultation"

When will our society wake up to the fact that specialists are raping vulnerable Australians.

The average earning of specialists is north of $2m pa. They are not working that much harder, they don't owe that much in Uni fees…

They can just charge more because people will pay anything for their health.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

This isn't true. What you see in these situations is a guy who is a scammer scamming people. People like that have always existed.

I always feel that gut wrenching sadness when I see articles about Simon Dwyer. I have no doubt he would've been the No 1 backrower in the game now if it weren't for that sickening injury robbing him of the chance to be there. Still, he continues to amaze us all with his will to fight and still achieve at the highest levels in sport and in life. We could all learn from him, I know I certainly need to.

Kudos to Freddy for sticking by him, as well - he's a bit of a goose at times, but he's a goose with a great heart.

Okay Steve. I woke adjacent to these guys and whether this guy is a scammer or not, specialists in general are fleecing people.

Perhaps this guy is worse.

Specialists (assuming they are medical professionals) are highly trained and typically help. My kids have to see specialists doctors and they have typically been great.

A healer on the other hand charging exorbitant prices is a con artist.

Fittler is a great man with a big heart and so genuine. Never says a bad word about anyone.

Poor Indictment on our club that we haven't done more to support him. Shud of given him the money we paid the imposter (anasta).

Really the nrl needs to set up a fund to cover such circumstances. Can't believe we don't already hav one, something that has slipped through the cracks when the game has moved on. Just take 5% of players wages matched by nrl and set up their own insurance company.

We all Pay insurance
