Move him to the backrow ASAP, what w waste if he is not in our team. No error, 9 runs for 83 m, 30 tackles and 3 tackles breaks. No missed tackles by the way.

I agree with you on this point, although I wouldn't move him there just yet. We need him at 6 until Marshall returns. Watching the lines Sirro ran yesterday, I'd give him another off-season and let him put on another 2-4kg of muscle, then trial him in the backrow.

30 tackles? not bad for the kid! Keep him in the halves till benji returns then let him return to nyc or nsw cup and learn the trade of lock/second row the rest of the season. And then we can unleash him in 2014!

Runs a good line, strong, great leg drive and while down on outright pace if he has Koro outside it could work very well

What you just described is a second rower or lock smeg….

and what about the sliding defence, what will happen there when meritt is rushing for the line, or morris? maybe he won't vanish like lawrence but i'd much rather a speedy centre who can slide well to cut that off

He ran those second rower lines on occasion and was utterly innefective doing so.

Our pack needs genuine size not just a big kid who may grow into it

Sirro will be a second rower within 12 months

Another 3-4 kgs in the off season and more confidence in the shoulder , he will ready

Utterly ineffective? Well, firstly he put up some 30 tackles. Broke the line with a big run, stupid obstruction stopped his try. And hes like what, 19? 20? Don't remember many 19 year olds breaking into first grade as a five 8 and being amazingly effective running second row lines straight up. Even David Klemmer who is TRAINED at prop, has 20kg on sirro and a year (and about 1.5x the salary of braith) isn't cooming into 1st grade and instantly dominating.

There's no space for him in the halves, he'll have to move into a position that suits his body and the team.

For now he obviously stays at 6 till Benji returns. Assuming his form stays consistent you've gotta feel a move to lock is almost certain. I do just wonder what odds Blair eventually ends back at prop due to a wealth of back row options. Certainly I can see a situation where Blair trains in the pre season at prop for 2014.

Agreed there is no space for him in the halves and he isn't an effective halves player who can organise play or own a pure running game.
He has at least a 12 month journey to be an effective back-rower/lock. I suggest give him a run in NSW cup/NYC to keep strengthening his shoulder after Benji/Anasta return to the halves.
I couldn't see him playing centre for us, at this stage he probably couldn't do worse than Lawrence but Simona looks a possibility at breaking into FG sooner rather than later.
You then have Nofo who IMO should make an appearance before the end of the year.

I'd rather Simona in the centres than Sirro. He looks an ideal backrower in the making IMO. He'll put on more muscle and get stronger over the next couple of years. I think his realistic playing weight in 2 years time will be 107-108kg and I just don't think he'll have the outright speed to play centre.
