Skoda Stadium over SFS?

Skoda Stadium (RAS showground) has been redeveloped for GWS giants. Should WT pursue that ground over SFS? I know SFS provides $$ for home games, but would a smaller (over ANZ) and easy to get to venue like Skoda Stadium be ideal for WT? Thoughts on seating/viewing? Or should WT pursue more at campbelltown/leichhardt oval ganes outside SFS or return to ANZ?

I personally like a rectangular oval over a round oval…Skoda is round...OK for AFL but not for league

Wish someone in power had the guts to bulldoze anz though. doesn't work as a multi-purpose venue (name me anyone that enjoys the place). it should be torn down and rebuilt it as a state of the art 65-70,000 rectangular venue. unfortunately, it will not happen though.

Nah, SFS is better. I think the mix of 4 games each for Leichhardt, Campbelltown and SFS is pretty good.

Cheaper to redevelop Lidcombe Oval and Pratten Park. Imagine that scenario, with the SFS & SCG we will have 6 home grounds.

Nup, I'm convinced the SFS is one of, if not the best ground in the NRL from a viewing perspective, not to mention the electric atmosphere with 20,000+. The Showground barely exceeds 20,000 in capacity anyway, does it? Or has the revamp allocated more seating, I was last there at the Easter Show earlier this year.

Capacity not so sure.. Just thinking atmosphere could be better than a half empty sfs.. I do think sfs is a great venue for viewing.. Just throwing it out for opinion.. Bulldogs used it in 2002\. SFS does need a New pa system though.

Why did they redevelop the showground when there is a perfectly good stadium for AFL next door…..

Time to build an 50k seater stadium at redfern station, nice and intimate rectangular stadium
