Small news pieces on the Tigers

A couple of small news pieces on the Tigers in this week's RLW magazine. There is an article on Andrew Fifita talking about him being dropped a few weeks ago for being overweight and how he has worked hard to get his skinfold levels back to where they should be. He looms as the Tigers X-Factor coming off the bench and offering good impact. Also says his goal is to become an 80 minute player like Steve Price.

The other news revoves around NYC player Ben Murdoch. Turns out the Roosters tried to poach him off the Tigers earlier this year but had the door shut in their faces. Big Ben is happy at the Tigers and Sheens says the club rates him highly and despite him requiring a shoulder recon in the off-season, Sheens is expecting big things from him for next year and beyond.

Apparently they went out and poached some Manly young gun instead. They are a pathetic lot out at Bondi - wait for a club to put a few years into developing a player and then take them at the end.

What a pathetic lot they are. Who cares if they've got a small junior base that really could be Souths. I actually think they should be the team to make way and move to Perth. Apart from their loyal yet small crowd of fans, would they really be missed from Sydney? I think not. In some ways them or the Sharks are pefect for a relocation.

Broncos have their eye on Murdoch….he flew over Lang park once.... :unamused:

We got ayshford because they were to busy poaching other clubs up and comers they did not bother to look in their own backyard. well done to Ben for staying loyal o the tigers
