Got this through the NRL email. Why couldn't we think of something like this for the St.George-Illawarra match at the SCG (albeit make adjustments for change to decimal currency):

_The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the Wests Tigers will go head to head in round eight of the NRL Telstra premiership at ANZ Stadium on Friday, 3 May at 7.35pm. To celebrate 25 years since the 1988 Grand Final between the Bulldogs and the Tigers which the Bulldogs won 24-12 in front of 40,000 fans, the Bulldogs will be offering 1988 General Admission ticket prices for an exclusive time of 1988 minutes.\
\
1988 Ticket Prices
Adult $10
Concession $7.50
Family $20
Junior $5\
\
This exclusive offer will be available from Tuesday, 23 April at 11.00am through to Wednesday, 24 April at 8.08pm._

_ANZ Stadium is also getting involved by bringing back some famous items that many fans would have enjoyed back in 1988\. Both the famous Chicko Roll and hotdog will be available for just $2.50 from all food outlets inside the venue prior to the kick-off of the NRL match._

Mmmmm… Chiko rolls. I wonder if they serve them in the corporate boxes, which is where I will be this time. Oh how life changes!

That day in 1988 was the second worst day of my life. The worst day ever occurred almost exactly 365 days later.

Who???! our membership or marketing department. We're still operating like its 1988.
We must have the worst office in the game.
Have you ever tried to call them and resolve an issue.

It's a great deal, isn't it. Haven't been to an away game in a fair few years, but this may be a goer.

I used to eat the guts of chiko rolls first….then the outside bit.
The older and crunchier the better

Dear god.

Every time i have rang our Marketing Dept i have hung the Phone up more confused then when i rang them, they are hopeless.

Why can't we do something like that to celebrate our joyous occasion from 2005 . Even wear our first jerseys from the merge

2010 and 2011 hurt more than 88 and 89 now.

Lucky for some….Forget the chicko rolls up there in paradise - Any chance of throwing some lobster & bottles of Moët down to the 'cattle class'?....LOL

Dear god.

Ink Ink Ink There is only one way to eat a chiko roll

1 /Eat both ends of first

2/turn each half left into a canoe shaped object and eat seperately

3/Dream of the chiko roll girl that was on the posters while you do that

It's becoming obvious that I'll need to go down to Woolies during the week and get a box of Chicko Rolls. All I can think of is Chicko Rolls now!

Amen to that…..both awful.

I'd add the semi we lost to the dogs in 85 in extra time to that list...that one hit hard.

PS.....I love chiko rolls, the dirty old ones are the best....and the olskool chick in the poster isnt bad either.

GF 1988 was the day I knew I was a Tigers supporter, I was only 5 and I cried. Not sure why, but losing just made me love the club more, because I wanted the win.
