He always has the tactics to beat us. Parra beat us every time for 5 years under him. In 2010, they beat us 4 times.

Smith doesn't rate us and knows our weaknesses. At LO this year he just ran his big forwards to us close to the ruck and it was too easy, he did a similar thing in the 2010 semi and at Alliance last year.

Playing touch football will only get you so far but will never beat a team with big forwards running the ball up with aggression and always having someone in support.
Smith certainly knows how to beat us.

He sure does have sheens number just like lang did.

Many people will disagree with me but I think smith is the best at developing a club from the ground up. His ability to turn good juniors into nrl players and develop squad depth with them is second to none. Parra had an amazing juniour base and squad depth which tanked when he left, he also cultivated the knights well and now the roosters. Unfortunately he can't deliver the big prize and that is a massive limitation.

so what is he good at devoloping ?o and please nothing in esl counts

Yes Smith certainly has Sheens measure. EASILY

But smith seems to tear clubs apart, he gets early results but its never sustainable and his last 2 seasons with the roosters have shown this yet again. He rebuilt the knights, then had to leave when it was realised he took them from bad to worse. Bennett had to be brought in to rebuild yet again.

As long as he gets to coach against Sheens every week though he looks like jack Gibson.

Bombing Utai was a good tactic. Utai is good enough under the highball but the laws of probability favor a tall guy over a short guy. Surprised more teams don't bomb him. Utai was unlucky today.

In the second half Sheens countered by having Utai drop back further & getting Ayshford to defuse. They should have been doing that from the beginning.
