The Tigers will not make the 8 with this man in the team. He lacks the killer instinct to control games and does not have the ability to lead a team into the promised land of finals.

Luke Brooks has had a decade to solidify himself as a talent but year after year has failed to deliver. Despite being afforded a team to be structured around his so called strengths.

Luke Brooks has been described as the most maligned half in the game and it's clear to everyone from casual fans to journalists who report on the game that this man not get the job done. Tigers fans and NRL spectators alike have watched him progress for a boy making his debut in a brilliant fashion to now, a young man with a wealth of games under his belt that has never played finals football and more than likely... never will, at least, within the environment that is the Wests Tigers.

Luke Brooks is an average player that has never pushed himself to become a good or great player. Once he leaves the game, he will not be remembered or celebrated. Other than some worst of all time discussions such as, "players who played over 100 games yet never scored a try or players who played over a decade but never made the finals." A laughing stock, like how Nathan Hindmarsh never won a grandfinal, you will have Luke Brooks. The next Andrew Johns. The guy who played so many years yet never reached the finals. A guy who is happy to get paid and not actually do the job he is employed to do. A guy that the club of Wests Tigers invested in more than any other player for so many years with no return. A guy who does not care about the club, the fans, his team mates or even himself, to show some effort or organisation on the field.

We can make 100 threads and complain until the end of days but the way Luke Brooks has milked this club for every dollar and in return, allowed us nothing but disgust, confusion and annoyance in return can never be forgotten or forgiven. He should and will rank among Adam Blair, Josh Reynolds and Moses Mbye levels of disdain among fans for eternity.

This isn't an opinion piece by your favourite forum user but an honest explanation of how Luke Brooks is an abysmal player and a sub par rugby league player. Looks like we're stuck with him for another year, at least, maybe even two. Let the good times roll.... the fan club has dwindled and the shine has worn off. Even though Luke Brooks has a couple of defenders left, it's common knowledge to the world the guy is just simply.... not good enough.

Luke won't read this because he doesn't care to hear what the fans say and hides from social media because he doesn't want to hear the negative comments the country has to say about his playing ability. However, if you're out there Luke... please do the right thing. I don't have the answers to what the right thing actually is but it's either, be the half back the Tigers need... or walk away from the club, hell... walk away from the game. The charade can't go on forever.

I just wish the clown knew how to put up a spiral bomb or any bomb that puts the opposition under pressure. Its the same end over end dribble, straight down the fullbacks throat.

You must not be watching the games. He put up a large variety of kicks up this year. Forced a number of errors from spiral kicks.

The post from @tcat is outright bullying. You should be ashamed to call yourself a fan of this club. Yes criticise his game, but don't attack his character. There is a reason he is not on social media anymore - because of people like you who want to have a go at him for non-football related things. Social media is not a platform that exists to give you the ability to harass someone.

You should be ashamed of your pathetic reply to my post. My post made no reference to "non-football" related things. I made a reference to his poor kicking game which is true and you obviously have some sick agenda against anyone challenging Brooks's previous football performances. Don't ever refer to me as a bully or tell me i should be ashamed to call myself a fan. Go look up the work hypocrite in the dictionary.

I honestly think he meant my post but it's pretty funny either way, haha..

Sorry @Kazoo-Kid , I can see your sig so I know how you must feel. I didn't mean to offend you or anyone. I wouldn't use social media to bash players or harass, annoy them, etc. That's childish.

It's not easy being a Wests Tigers fan some days, as we all know... we all had high hopes for Luke Brooks from the start but after many failed years, i wish common sense would prevail and we move on , for the best.

Again, sorry we disagree on your favourite player but nothing personal.

New halfback next year will make a massive difference, as it will at Brisbane. I'm getting in early on the Broncos to win the comp next year, the only handbrake being Kevvie. Hastings, even if his only contribution is repeat sets, will be massive for us.

You can’t compare the impact Reynolds will have on the Broncos to the impact Hastings will have on us.

Actually, I'll make this observation. You need a good hooker, a great half/five eighth combination and a very athletic fullback with speed the key and size multiplying that factor. The rest of the team just needs to be filled with willing workers who are good defenders. All other positions outside the spine are worker ants. Obviously, the harder they work the more valuable they are but there's not a great margin between your average. That's the Storm formula. Interchange any forward or back into the system and it still works. Brenko Lee, Reimis Smith, put anyone in who can commit to the plan. We have a good hooker, a speedy, willing fullback.....just need the half/five eighth combo. Forwards are good enough, we've got the backs.

Ummm..you also need to have a coach and assistants capable of developing game plans to suit the new rules and the roster of players. To me the new rules are very much suited to the 2005 style of play so maybe Sheens can assist modify our style to suit. I have no argument that defence ultimately wins comps but after 10 years it would be good to be able to “play” our way into the 8

We have one of the worst forward packs in the Comp. Our leader is a rookie 21yo.

Geez, you're a tough judge. I don't think they were too bad this year but next year....as you say, some of those kids were 20-21. A year makes a big difference at that age. I think next year we'll be dominating most.

You’re having a laugh, surely. The likes of Tamou, Garner, and possibly Woods and Elliot won’t be dominating anyone.

Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

halfback of the year 2018 I'd say relevant

I’m going off production not potential. Our middles i’d give a pass mark but our back row is our biggest weakness. As Madge stated. We need some men.

We already did this year. Sorry to say, with those players, what you see is what you get.

So you're thinking Stefano, Blore, Tuilagi, Simpkin have reached their ceiling?

We already did this year. Sorry to say, with those players, what you see is what you get.

So you're thinking Stefano, Blore, Tuilagi, Simpkin have reached their ceiling?

Stefano is the only one who looks a star. The others aren’t game changers

We don't need game changers in the forwards, we need goers. The game changers are the halves.

This is a furphy. Guys like Keary and Sam Walker don’t do half of what they do if they’re not filled with supreme confidence from playing behind alpha guys like JWH, Cordner, Tupounua etc.

We need guys that win the collision both in defence and attack.

Disagree, respectfully.

#6 written all over him.
He also sees himself as a 6 and wants to play there.

I feel like our spine is a very complex puzzle....

6,7,9 all have question marks over them and could be different now than next year and the year after.

One name I'm excited for... is... Mikey Tannous.

In 2, 3 years from now, we could see...

1 Logen Dillon
6 Dane Laurie
7 Mikey Tannous
9 Jake Simpkin

One thing I think everyone can agree on.. is we've always had good juniors coming through, with the right things in place now regarding retention and pathways I'm sure we're solidifying ourselves as a real threat for the future...

Feeling very hopeful for the future thanks to a chat with @the_patriot

i don't mind AD Cochise just don't get all the hype, he is a competitor yes but can't see him displacing Brooks and Hastings in halves. His best role for the team might be at centre moving forward

He’s a real strike weapon close to the line . I think he’s wasted I. The centre’s , but I’m not sure he’s agile enough for 6.
His bulk up last year , might be a signal that he can put on the necessary size for a switch to edge back rower . It’s not likely , but in 2021 , they weirdly get thier hands on the ball much more than centre , and can offer another attacking creator down the edge .
To me centre’s in 2021 need to be extremely laterally quick , to not get burned by the in and away , and have a really good first contact/ collision in defence . AD is neither of those things . But neither was Graham or Schuster at manly . Or to a lesser extent the Siro’s.

Scott is a mug lair , but he’s exactly what we need in centre . I just wish he wasn’t such a bad bloke , because he’s definitely the Prototype centre in 2021 .

Hastings has better lateral quickness than AD, but about the same first contact . So I don’t know.
But that’s my opinion on AD. I think he could play for Aus one day …. as an edge backrower . Wasted in the centre’s .

We are missing a lock and a quality prop short.
Lucy isn’t an 80min backrower he gets tanked at 60mins and we have no quality backrower backup.
We don’t have centers, we could play AD there and solves one.
Halves are a mess.
Laurie showed signs of positive but his support play wasn’t great and his touches of the ball was half of the top 6 fullbacks per game.

We already did this year. Sorry to say, with those players, what you see is what you get.

So you're thinking Stefano, Blore, Tuilagi, Simpkin have reached their ceiling?

Stefano is the only one who looks a star. The others aren’t game changers.

I think Tuilagi looks a great attacking prospect, great hole runner and showed he can find the line in a small handful of games. Tuki can find an offload where most players can't, if we can get Laurie sniffing around him we'll score a few off the back of it for sure. Blore is going to be very very good, especially with a full preseason under his belt next year.

I think our pack moving forward has the potential to be very good, Mikaele and Seyfarth off the bench providing energy and impact, hopefully Luch to the bench in order to make him more explosive and Twal is a workhorse. if we could grab Thompson I think we're in a good spot there. Pole, Tofaeono, Faagutu, Sykes, Tumeth, Saukuru and Matamua are all great future prospects for the next 3-4 years as well.

Disagree, respectfully.

ADs reallt needed the off season to work on aspects of his game at 6, that coupled with the fact he will be coming back from an ACL probably keeps him out of the 6 for 2022. I don't think it matter what he see himself as.

Hey , I noticed Tannous was used out of the middle a lot in juniors , does the club see him as a 9 , 7 , or 6 .
Or was it just because he’s so dangerous off the mark , that he would expose tired middles , so they used him that way ?
