Soccer Super Thread

As an Aussie, I've taken a ken interest in the journey of Ange Postecoglou in his time at Tottenham and often find a synergy between his approach to team management and that here at Wests Tigers.

If I might just show this extract from https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cr4nv9g1q4lo

"Tottenham supporters have had some real near misses for a long time, so there's always this safeguard of not getting too excited about what's happening, but part of creating a winning culture is not to fall into that trap," he said.

"Winners don't think about things in that way. They don't think about what could possibly go wrong. They have a real clarity around what they need to do to win and I'm trying to create that with this group of players.

"If you expect something to go wrong, it will. So you try to rail against that, but how you do that is just a clear-eyed focus on what's important."

We Wests Tigers fans have also been bruised lots since '05, but the 2025 crew is showing a marked uptick for me.

AFC Bournemouth win away at Arsenal for the first time, coming back from a 1-0 deficit at half time to run away 2-1 winners!

A BIG day for Bournemouth - their First away win and Premier League double over Arsenal

And after a HUGE final normal season day in the Championships, the Championship Play-Offs will be contested by Bristol City, Sheffield Utd, Coventry and Sunderland...

Which team will join Leeds and Burnley in the Premier League next season?

And here's the ladder at the end of the season:"

Jamie Vardy is only 𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝙂𝙊𝘼𝙇 away from the Leicester City 200 club

(The Foxes legend will face Nottingham Forest, Ipswich Town and Bournemouth in his final three matches for the club in the Championship play offs for the remaining promotion spot to next season's EPL.)

Leeds are 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 of the Championship after a 91st-minute Manor Solomon winner
Bristol City’s final-day draw is enough for them to take the final playoff spot.
Leeds and Burnley are UP.

Who will join them in the Premier League next season?
