Sheffield United recorded just their third Championship draw of the season as they shared the spoils with high-flying Millwall in an entertaining end-to-end encounter at The Den.

Andre Brooks fired into the bottom corner from 18 yards to give the Blades an early lead but it lasted just two minutes thanks to Mihailo Ivanovic's smart, instinctive finish.

Both sides had chances to win the match, with Callum O'Hare in particular failing to take advantage of two glorious goalscoring opportunities for the visitors.

Middlesbrough moved level on points with Championship leaders Coventry with a narrow 1 nil victory over Norwich City.

Captain Hayden Hackney's brilliant long-range strike after 17 minutes proved to be enough to make it five successive wins - their best run since October 2023.

When they started that winning streak, they were nine points behind the Sky Blues, but now only an inferior goal difference separates the top two as Boro's dreams of a Premier League return increase.

Today's weather also played a hand with the match delayed from its usual start time due to lightning strikes in the area; play between Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Victory was till deemed safe to play.

Absolutely brilliant day. One of my top 3 match day experiences for any sport. The whole town was absolutely buzzing after that win!!

WHAT. A. FINISH.

Manchester united seal all three points to make it three wins in a row for Michael Carrick, but not before the game dazzled from one end to the other.

ManU led 2-nil before Fulham cam back late to equal at 2 all.
Then, Sesko scored the winning goal in the 4th minute of added time.
WOW!!

A brilliant away day for Brentford FC as they defeat Aston Villa 1-0 the hard way, down to 10 men after Schade was sent off in the 42nd minute, then Ouattara scoring in the 2nd minute of extra time in the first half.
Then holding on with the 10 men.
Outstanding.

A game of two halves - and Spurs are loving their best draw of the season!
  • Rayan Cherki gives Manchester City lead with low finish
  • Antoine Semenyo doubles advantage from close range
  • Dominic Solanke pulls one back before scoring stunning equaliser

Dominic Solanke produced a stunning piece of improvisation (did someone say - scorpion kick?) as Tottenham came from two goals down to earn a point and deliver a serious setback to Manchester City's Premier League title hopes.

City were in total control at half-time as goals from Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo emphasised their domination, with Thomas Frank's team enduring another hostile reaction from their own fans.

Coventry City saw their lead at the top of the Championship wiped out as their poor away form continued with a 2-1 loss at Queens Park Rangers.

QPR had the better of the first-half chances, with Richard Kone seeing a looping header palmed onto the crossbar and away for a corner by Coventry goalkeeper Carl Rushworth.

QPR were soon level when Kone finished well at the near post after an excellent move before Nicolas Madsen blasted them in front seven minutes later to send Loftus Road wild.
