Fulham 2 Spurs1, it just keeps getting worse for Spurs fans. The match details are insignificant compared to the bigger picture.
The situation is now scary - Spurs - relegation - surely not.
Come on Ye Spurs !

  • Harry Wilson gives Fulham lead in seventh minute, despite a 2-handed push in the back of a Spurs defender (where last week Spurs had a goal disallowed for the same thing)!
  • Alex Iwobi adds second with low shot in 34th minute

it is such a shame to see Spurs lose.

Sheffield United have a strong 1st half to defeat QPR 2-0

QPR manager Julien Stephan told BBC Radio London:

"Tough result, tough performance. I'm disappointed conceding the goals so quickly in the first half. We didn't start the game like we expected to in terms of aggression or intensity. It was better in the second half, but we didn't succeed in creating strong momentum.

"We scored one goal, I think. It should have been 2-1 at that moment and that would have changed completely the momentum for the end of the game. But I don't want to explain only this result with this decision. It had a strong impact, especially if I compare the goal Liverpool scored today and it was exactly the same.

"So there's a big difference in terms of decisions between the Premier League and the Championship. But this is the history of this game and we didn't show enough quality today to hope for a better result, especially in terms of intensity and mental strength."

Sorry champion @Dr_Ice. 😉
This is the unremitting burden we each carry as we (hopefully) follow the team of our choice, where we seek success of a fashion - and even a win?!
But the good news is here: footy is cyclical - what wins one day is the loser on another.
So our hope burns eternal.
It will come good - for all of us.

The Boro defeat Birmingham City 3-1 overnight.

Matt Targett scored twice in a game for the first time in his career as Middlesbrough saw off Birmingham City to get back to winning ways in the Championship.

After three games without a victory, the on-loan Newcastle United defender struck twice in the first half to enable Boro to cut the gap to leaders Coventry City back to five points.

Marvin Ducksch pulled one back at the start of the second half for Blues before David Strelec's header on the hour-mark sealed the victory.

The result also restored a vital four-point cushion over Millwall in third, as Kim Hellberg's side seek a Premier League return for the first time since 2017.
