Pleased he has signed to continue his development with the club but he needs a fair bit of work to make it especially in defence.To be honest i am not sure he should be in top 30 at this stage.

He is a prime example if WT want to be taken seriously as a development club. He has talent but let's get in resources to make sure he can tackle correctly and add some pace. I am interesting how he develops.

Tigers should be asking any prospective defence coach how they plan on fixing up his defence...

Fixing his defence is an issue primarily for him. He needs to have the desire to improve and I think part of the issue will be a big improvement in fitness and loss of weight.

I can't believe how much flak this kid who's played a handful of NRL gets about his defence. Defence is very teachable, he'll learn. Finding the tryline and running at gaps is as rare as hen's teeth in our squad. He's a great re-signing.
On the other hand the same people bagging his defence are worried Seyfarth will leave. A guy who has played 114 games, who offers nothing in attack and missed 7 tackles in our last game. The game before that he also missed 7, he missed 6 in the game before that. He's a Ron Massey standard player that gets love on here because he runs around getting red in the face like a demented circus monkey.
It's bizarre.

To put that number in perspective it's as many tackles as Twal missed all year.

Talented player, good size,plenty to work on. Huge off season ahead for Solo. I wouldnt mind seeing how he goes on the wing outside Taylan.

He struggles sometimes with contact, thats a mental thing that should be fixed. He also struggle with good footwork. Im thinking at centre he is in a position where he is in two minds way too often and that contributes to exposing his weakness. Maybe on the wing will be a better spot for him

I'd put Solomone on a similar trajectory to someone like Kautoga who just needed a bit more time in a professional environment in order to develop his skills.

Solo is not dissimilar to Simi Sasagi.

Newcastle fans were often critical of Sasagi's defence on an edge (backrow/centre) before he moved to Canberra.

Now Sasagi is 25yo and playing career best football and seems to be quite good defensively from what I have seen.

Solo just needs to keep developing & working on all areas of his game & fitness.
