THE GUY CAN SNIFF TALENT
Sam Harris, Ryan Ohara,Nick Grahame,Jobson,Brown and of course the second comming of Moody and Fitzhenry. Theirs probably another 20 unforgettable signings that I have forgotton

Gareth Ellis, Lote Tuqiri, Keith Galloway…

Ellis and Lote great signings, Galloway, how many games do we get out of him a season?? Good when on the paddock and not carrying a injury but we are not getting great value for dollar out of big red at present.

In what…eight seasons.
Quite a strike rate isnt it?

Some stats, (and for comparison only) I added Folkes record (10 years coaching) to the 10 years in the same period of Tim's coaching - although there is the years prior to that period there of Sheens too. One of my main issues is missing the finals year after year - something Bulldogs didn't have to worry about under Folkes.

Another thing I noted was at Canberra it was all too easy for Sheens, that pumped his stats up but but since 1995 he hasn't done much. Take a look at what he did at Cowboys - OUCH, then with us - a big blank gap of finals appearances.

Oh and Scott Prince…

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a massive Sheens fan but you have to be fair. Galloway was a good signing and Sheens could hardly foresee that Galloway would get injured.

Like a lot of mid level clubs who don't cheat the cap he's signed some duds and some good players. You think it's skewed to the duds, fair enough and you may be right but I think your assessment of his record lacks balance.

I can tell you for a fact that Benny Elias does not rate Sheens, and was perplexed when he was re-signed.

Dont know about that HT

Benny was the one a few short weeks bragging of how HE was so great for suggesting and then being the guy that called Tim on the Farm.

In another thread it had quotes from Benny, Blocker and Tommy. They all laid the blame at the feet of the players that were on the field last Sunday afternoon. They didn't mention Tim.

Yep, and ALL of those players who were on the field last Sunday (except Ayshford and Fulton) will be back on the field on Friday night. Who do you blame for that?

And I blame Sheens for the weather. Its been crap the last few days.

Yeah Simon, we are being really picky and that blaming Sheens for the Tigers performances. How shocking. What an outrageous suggestion to blame the head coach for any of our poor performances. We must be drawing an extremely long bow to portion blame to the head coach?? Right SImon?? I mean he only has control over recruitment, retention, selection, game plans, training, interchange. So, therefore he doesn't have control over a lot of things i suppose.

The ironic thing Simon is you will probably blame the weather for our loss. You call us supporters lightweights and pea hearts. However your the one with your head so far stuck in the sand it aint funny. Instead of your usual "lightweight" responses how about you discuss the issues. Like what you think of Sheens use of the interchange, or Sheens use of Fitzhenry, or Sheens recruitment of Mitch Brown and Daniella? Or Sheens playing John Morris at halfback for 2 seasons??

If you can justify or at least discuss any of these sorts of issues Simon, then that would be a good start. However my prediction is that you will come back with a response similar to your last 1000.

"I see the lightweights are blaming Sheens again, thanks for the laughs kids, i needed it"

"Its only round 10, sheensie, sheensie sheensie"

*Insert 14 different smile faces somewhere here*

For mine, that sort of response is more lightweight then anything in here. Providing some evidence of why Sheens is doing such a great job would be better then just laughing and mocking all his detractors.

I said this is the let's be realistic thread:

Sheens has been at the club for 7-8 years and made the finals once.
He has probably the strongest squad since 2005 including Australian, New Zealand and England representatives.
He has not one, not two, but three first grade coaches at his disposal.
He has not one, not two, but three feeder teams to choose players from.
He has not one, not two, but three love affairs - with Fitzy, Brown and Daniela.

The fact is WT have made the Semi's once under the Fonz's control.

That is the only fact you need. . . . . but if you really want another one, the Fonz has made the semi's only once in his last 14 years of NRL coaching.

What more stats do you need?

He is a terrible coach with no idea.
