I hate to go on about a much discussed player, but can we afford to carry a forward with the work rate and impact on the game , that Blair provides. I watched the StGI game and I thought he was embarrassing.

You are a very bad judge of a footballer. He is playing great and will be the first picked next week.

He will be here for some time so build a bridge.

blair is a player that builds towards the end of the year and he is starting to do that nicely over the last couple of weeks…. he always plays well come semi final timeif we make it.... lets see how hes finishes the season off

take note of what happens in a ruck which he is involved in …

He nearly always dominates the attacked , hold them up exceptionally well , so much so that i have now realized that opposition teams purposely avoid him .

Re his running game , his strength is his off load , you will often see him waving the ball around just waiting for someone to run onto it

ok…I dont think he is up to it..but , please don't use the word " hater "..I have been through this before. I don't hate him.

I watched his performance on replay against StGI, especially the 2nd half, and , sorry, he did nothing.

I'm starting to see the value - As Rambo says he always dominates a tackle, and is at the business end of the season, starting to straighten up and attack the line.

He puts big pressure on the kickers, and his presence does make players avoid him - much like on the otherside, teams are starting to avoid Ellis (to Ellis' credit though, he goes LOOKING for work, thats what i'd probably consider blairs only weakness)

I find Blairs game always looks better if you avoid looking at his stats. We didn't buy him for his workrate though.

Watch every try we score. Blair is on Benji's left which opens the space for Moltzen's and Fulton's tries. At times Benji will hit Blair but more often than not he is being used as a decoy. He is sucking in defenders in our attacking zone but my only gripe with him is he does not do enough in our half. He is a typical Melbourne type player with all the grubby wrestling stuff in tackles but is really starting to come good. The thing I like about him is he is starting to talk alot more on the field. The younger players could really learn off him.

Pointless thread given Blair will be one of the first chosen. Yeah, he hasn't performed as well as many on here have hoped, but we still need him.

80min player who does the 1% plays that don't show up on stats. Always in and around the ball.

A valued assest to the team.

rather him in the team than not. A smart footballer but sometimes a lazy one. But his prescence has been felt somewhat over the last couple of games. I know one thing for sure, he's getting better at the right time of the season. Or is he? Lets discuss this issue further if you need to after the friday game.

Who are the Blair bashers comparing him too?

Fair enough he hadn't set the world on fire but he has improved throughout the season and is doing his job. There are players in every team that need to do the 1%ers and even if his stats don't reflect it he is always in the thick of it!

If we make the 8 he will be an absolute machine!

To the Blair bashers- SYMOIFI

It's the stuff we don't see that count. Always in support, holding the ruck, looking for offloads etc.

Exatly,we do not use Blairs quick play the ball and off load anywhere near enough,Moltzen should trail Blair's left shoulder all day.
