Souths after Tim Moltzen...

Please dont do it Tim. I cant think of one player who has gone to souths and bettered their career. And not to mention Moltzen isnt a halfback.

I want Moltz to go to another club for his own sake, but it has to be a club where he'll play 5/8, not halfback, centre, or fullback. If he's not playing 5/8, he might as well stay here and be a great back up for Benji.

I reckon they'd be smarter to go after Jacob Miller.

Hope that doesn't happen.
That kid is a beast, can't wait to see him grow as a player, he'll be a 500k machine in no time.

Moltzen has to weight up playing for Souths and being a regular five eight/half back or
be a utility for Wests Tigers and stay with his mates.

Souths you would imagine would be offering him more money to leave WT.

You only have a short career in NRL and Tim has already had one major knee injury so
we can not penalise him if he decides to go to Souths for the money.

If the deal is good for Tim i wouldn't begrudge him for taking it.
on present form he has Benji and Lui ahead of him in the halves.
And the Club has Miller and the like in the juniors waiting for their shot.

Unless Tim thinks he really is a Fullback and wishes to hang around until MacKinnon retires then so be it.
I know if I was in Tim's shoes i'd hate to be a perennial bench warmer waiting for my chance.

Souths are not going for tim there going for Thomas Leuluai see the link http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/souths-linked-to-wigan-halfback-leuluai-as-parramatta-chase-myles-20110505-1eaby.html

IMO Miller will not be hanging around the Tigers with Lui,Benji and Moltzon all in front of him. By next year he will be nearly a starting no7 standard and their are plenty of clubs that need a seven or six. I cant see him willing to sit back and take his chances with injuries. Not sure of his contract arrangements but would imagine he is on a one year with a option, just above the base mark. Be great to keep him but I dont know if we would be doing him any favours.

Agree with Supercoach.

A quality number 7 can write their own cheque and there will be a number of clubs chasing young Miller.

In the next couple of years Matt Oxford, Scott Prince, Ben Hornsby will be retiring so plenty of clubs will be on the look out for a quality 7.

I wouldn't be surprised that one day The Cowboys will make a play for Lui when JT retires.

At this point WT management has to roll the dice…Lui is entrenched at 7,& should be signed up long term as he's only going to get better. Then weve got both out first choice & thoroughly proven starting halves locked up.
Miller looks the goods,& though its early days at just 18, should also be locked up medium/long term.
Its then up to Moltzen, who is undoubtedly talented,to show that he can excel in another position (centre/FB)..& he needs some time to do that, which he has as he's signed until 2012.Got a feeling he's too small for either of these positions, but time will tell.
If he continues to fail in these positions its better for everyone that we part company as his market value(as a half or five eighth )is just too expensive to carry another backup.

I think its in his interest to move on, and he will be a great buy whereever he goes. He was so unlucly to have his injury when he did because it gave Lui a chance to cement the half position and he's been great!

I just hope he doesn't put on the scum jersey, the club is a career killer and scum.

Central coasts half perhaps?

Can't imagine though he would be on a motsa yet though Clontarf Lets see what the market is offerring up in 2012 and cross that bridge then Much can happen or change in 18 months

we need to invest in a time machine and take Moltzen back to play half during the 'John Morris era'

as long as he doesn't fall in love with his own grandma or something
